Tormenta Franklin ya no está en territorio nacional: Se sentirán lluvias importantes en noreste, centro y el Este.

La directora de la Oficina Nacional de Meteorología (Onamet), Gloria Ceballos, informó que ya el centro de la tormenta tropical Franklin se encuentra en aguas del Atlántico, aunque se espera que sus efectos continúen provocando lluvias significativas en el noreste, centro y Este del país.

“Todavía en la tarde y noche de hoy vamos a tener lluvias importantes en el noroeste, el centro y el este del país”, informó Ceballos.

Expresó que ante las precipitaciones se mantienen los niveles de alerta.

Los vientos de Franklin, mientras estuvo en el país, alcanzaron los 65 kilómetros por hora y se desplazó a 20 kilómetros por hora.

En Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE) mantuvo todo el país en alerta y reportó que hasta el momento 47 viviendas han sido afectadas y 347,159 usuarios de energía eléctrica han sido afectados.

En esta rueda de prensa encabezada por el presidente Luis Abinader, se informó además que las labores vuelven a la normalidad este jueves.
