Presidente Abinader se reúne con comandante del Comando Sur EE.UU. general Laura Jane Richardson

Santo Domingo. – El presidente Luis Abinader se reunió con la general Laura J. Richardson, comandante del Comando Sur de los Estados Unidos donde se abordaron los esfuerzos de cooperación y seguridad entre ambas naciones.

 

El encuentro tuvo lugar al término de la investidura de la Sexagésima Primera Promoción de Cadetes del Ejército de República Dominicana, en la Academia Militar Batalla de Las Carreras.

 

Previamente el vocero de la Presidencia, Homero Figueroa, explicó que serían tratados además temas sobre las donaciones realizadas al país como vehículos militares, barcos y hospitales móviles; la integración de género, mujeres líderes, la paz y seguridad de la región y eventos futuros con relación a Fuerzas Comando 2023.

El jefe de Estado estuvo acompañado por la plana mayor del ministro de Defensa, Teniente General Carlos Luciano Diaz Morfa; el comandante general del Ejército, Mayor General Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre; de la Fuerza Aérea Dominicana, Carlos Ramón Febrillet Rodríguez y el comandante general de la Armada, vicealmirante Francisco Sosa Castillo.
