Eligen los cinco nuevos jueces del Tribunal Constitucional.

Tras un proceso que se extendió por más de dos meses, el Consejo Nacional de la Magistratura escogió a los nuevos cinco jueces que formarán parte del Tribunal Constitucional.

Luego de una reunión realizada en el Palacio Nacional se informó que Napoleón Ricardo Estévez Lavandier, Fidias Federico Aristy Payano, Amaury Reyes, Sonia Díaz Ynoa y Armi Ferreira formarán parte de la Alta Corte, con Estévez Lavandier como el presidente de ese Tribunal en sustitución de Milton Ray Guevara, quien ocupó la posición por 12 años.

La escogencia se realiza luego de que en seis vistas públicas se entrevistaran a 113 postulantes a sustituir a Ray Guevara, al primer sustituto de presidente, Rafael Díaz Filpo; al segundo sustituto, Lino Vásquez Sámuel; al igual que los jueces Víctor Joaquín Castellanos Pizano, y Justo Pedro Castellanos Khoury. Estos son los últimos magistrados que quedan de la colegiatura original, cuando inició el funcionamiento de esta alta corte en el año 2011.
