El COE mantiene a 32 provincias en alerta; 25 en roja.

El Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia (COE) ratifica los niveles de alerta roja y amarilla ante el paso de la tormenta Franklin sobre el territorio nacional.

Las 25 provincias en alerta roja son Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional, San Cristóbal, Peravia, Barahona, San Juan, Independencia, Puerto Plata, San Pedro de Macorís, La Romana, San José de Ocoa, Azua, Pedernales, Bahoruco, Elías Piña, Duarte, María Trinidad Sánchez, Monte Plata, La Altagracia, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, Samaná y Sanchez Ramírez

Mientras que las que están en alerta amarilla están Dajabón, Montecristi, Hermanas Mirabal, Espaillat, Santiago Rodríguez y Santiago.
El mayor general retirado, Juan Manuel Méndez, dijo que las precipitaciones se sentirán en todo el país.

Mientras que la Oficina Nacional de Meteorología (Onamet) informó que el centro de la tormenta entró por Barahona y Pedernales, y se espera que pase por Azua, San Juan de la Maguana y Santiago y saldría por la parte de Puerto Plata y Montecristi.

La tormenta se desplaza a una velocidad de 17 kmh.
Méndez también pidió a la población a no descuidarse, y que permanezcan en sus casas, en las de sus amigos y familiares y en albergues oficiales.
