Presidente Abinader visita zonas afectadas por explosión en San Cristóbal y asegura a familias apoyo del Gobierno
_El Mandatario va al hospital Juan Pablo Pina y dice: “Mientras tanto nos toca salvar vidas de los afectados y lo vamos a hacer sin ningún límite de recursos”._
San Cristóbal. -El presidente Luis Abinader recorrió este martes las zonas afectadas tras la ocurrencia de una explosión en esta provincia, donde aseguró que todas las familias recibirán un apoyo el gobierno para volver a la normalidad.
Al llegar a la zona, el Mandatario recibió un informe de la situación actual por parte de las autoridades de rescate y socorro y luego se trasladó al hospital Juan Pablo Pina, donde se encuentran hospitalizados algunas de las personas afectadas.
El presidente Abinader expresó su sentido pesar por las 10 personas reportadas como fallecidas hasta el momento y, extendió su solidaridad con las familias por la terrible pérdida de sus seres queridos.
«Se va a hacer una investigación para determinar el origen y las causas, repito, de este terrible accidente. Mientras tanto nos toca salvar vidas de los que han estado afectados y accidentados y lo vamos a hacer sin ningún límite de recursos para que cada vida humana que podamos salvar con la ayuda de Dios lo podamos hacer», manifestó Abinader.
Informó que se está haciendo todo lo humanamente posible a través de todas las instituciones del gobierno, para investigar la situación de once desaparecidos. Agregó que hay alrededor de unas 37 personas que están internadas con varios niveles de impacto, hasta el momento han sido reportadas 11 personas desaparecidas y que el Servicio Nacional de Salud dará reportes en diferentes momentos, informando sobre la situación de cada uno de ellos.
«Este ayer a las 3:30 de la tarde que fui informado de este evento, un día 14 de agosto que va a está reflejado como de luto para todos los sancristobalenses y el país, envié inmediatamente al ministro de la Presidencia, que llegó alrededor de las 5:00 de la tarde a esta ciudad para coordinar todas las acciones del gobierno en orden a mitigar este terrible accidente, una explosión que está haciendo investigada», expresó
En ese orden, el jefe de Estado indicó que desde ese momento todas las instituciones del Gobierno, desde salud hasta las áreas de emergencia como la Defensa Civil, El Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia, el 911, el Gabinete de Políticas Sociales, se han movilizado y lo seguirán haciendo, para retornar a la normalidad en esta área del municipio y hasta atender al último afectado por este terrible incidente.
Preciso que todavía se está en investigación del hecho y que ha incorporado en la mañana de hoy al J2 del Ministerio de Defensa juntamente con el excelente trabajo que están haciendo los equipos de bomberos tanto de San Cristóbal como de ciudades cercanas que los están apoyando, especialmente desde Santo Domingo.
El Gobernante agradeció a todas las instituciones de apoyo que han estado coordinadas en esta terrible tragedia y reiteró que lo seguirán haciendo hasta llevar después y con todo el sentimiento y la pena que ha causado a todos, llevar a la normalidad en cuanto a las acciones en San Cristóbal.
*No se escatimarán recursos*
Apuntó que para este tipo de eventos el Gobierno tiene presupuestos especiales de los cuales no se escatimarán recursos para utilizarlos en esta provincia, atender a los pacientes y que se retorne a la normalidad.
Asimismo, indicó que se están instalando dos hospitales móviles de prevención y de tratamiento psicológico a las víctimas, a través del Ministerio de Salud Pública y en cuanto a los daños físicos, dijo, hay un capítulo para estas tragedias que se podrá utilizar.
El jefe de Estado expuso todo lo ocurrido será informado debidamente, con los detalles de lugar y con toda la transparencia que ha caracterizado al gobierno que encabeza. Indicó que la explosión tuvo un origen y un efecto dominó por ser una zona industrial donde había fábricas de plásticos, colchones con materiales inflamables.
Abinader agregó que debido a que las industrias afectadas tenían abundante material inflamable, según ha sido informado, se ha hecho muy difícil la búsqueda de sobrevivientes. Sostuvo que ya con las herramientas y los caninos especiales se está en la búsqueda de desaparecidos.

De su lado, el director del SNS, Mario Lama, informó que de los 37 heridos y recibidos en el Hospital Regional Docente Juan Pablo Pina, 10 han sido referidos a otros centros por la complejidad de sus casos.
Detalló que dentro de los 10 hay dos en el Hospital Ney Arias Lora, los cuales están estables; seis en la Unidad de Quemados del Ney Arias Lora, uno en el Robert Reid Cabral, uno en el Hospital Hugo Mendoza, todos estos estables.
Informó, además, que en el Pina permanecen tres personas ingresadas, de las cuales hay dos estables y una en condición crítica.
Lama comunicó que el Hospital J. Mañón recibió cuatro pacientes que fueron egresados por su buena condición de salud al momento. Sostuvo que a nivel de centros privados los pacientes ingresados rondan los 25.
En tanto que, en las zonas afectadas, el ministro de la Presidencia Joel Santos Echeverría agradeció a los organismos de rescate y socorro por su incansable trabajo en lo que calificó como una tragedia y al mismo tiempo insistió que ante cualquier eventualidad siempre estará la mano del Gobierno para ir en su auxilio.
En el recorrido estuvieron presentes el ministro de Salud Pública, Daniel Rivera; el Administrador del Banco de Reservas, Samuel Pereyra; el administrador general de la Empresa de Generación Hidroeléctrica Dominicana (EGEHID), Rafael Salazar; el viceministro de Relaciones Sociedad Civil, Benny Metz y la Gobernadora de San Cristóbal, Pura Casilla.
También, el alcalde del municipio de San Cristóbal, José Montas; el diputado de la provincia, Gustavo Lara Salazar y la directora del Hospital Regional Docente Juan Pablo Pina, Monserrat Santana.
