Delegación dominicana presentará ante el PARLACEN crisis haitiana y violación frontera

El Salvador. – Una delegación dominicana designada por el presidente Luis Abinader se trasladó a El Salvador para participar en la Asamblea Plenaria del Parlamento Centroamericano (PARLACEN), donde presentará el impacto de la crisis de Haití en la República Dominicana y la necesidad urgente de acudir al llamado del gobierno haitiano de una misión de paz multinacional respaldada por la Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU).

Además, la comisión expondrá la actual situación de violación de los tratados fronterizos con la construcción ilegal del canal en el río Dajabón, por parte de un grupo de particulares haitianos. La misma fue conformada de manera multisectorial por funcionarios del gobierno, líderes de diversos partidos con representación en el PARLACEN y académicos.

La integran el viceministro administrativo de la presidencia, Andrés Lugo Risk; el viceministro de relaciones exteriores, José Julio Gómez; los diputados ante el PARLACEN, Ramón Emilio Goris (PHD), Carlos Sánchez (APD), Xiomara Guante (PRM), Martha Pérez (MIU), Namibia Didiez (PDP) y Ricardo Polanco (PRSD); los académicos, Miguel Reyes Sánchez, secretario de la Academia Dominicana de la Historia; y Raul De Moya Español, presidente de la fundación UNPHU.

Se recuerda que, durante seis meses representantes de estos distintos sectores, junto al gobierno, han estado trabajando, a solicitud del presidente Abinader, en la elaboración de un pacto nacional para enfrentar la problemática haitiana. Este fin de semana reiteró su llamado público a que el liderazgo político nacional se una y asuma esta situación como un tema de nación. También otras delegaciones han cumplido con misiones internacionales de esta naturaleza en los Estados Unidos y Canadá.

En El Salvador desarrollarán una extensa agenda que incluye una exposición del tema ante la Asamblea del Parlamento Centroamericano; reuniones con su junta directiva; con las bancadas de cada país; con el vicepresidente de El Salvador, Félix Ulloa Garay; la canciller, Alexandra Hill; el secretario general del SICA, Werner Vargas.
