Comenzó su pasión por la música cantando ranchera, grabó su primera producción por accidente porque no la hicieron para él, igual no llegó a cobrar un peso por su trabajo como artista, al inicio unos años muy difícil porque aun pegado no manejaba ni para la leche de su primer hijo, en el BAÚL DE LOS RECUERDOS, Luis Miguel De Amargue, nació el 12 de marzo 1977 en Azua de Compostela, sección Las Terreras, su nombre de pila es Robert Robert Sisa.

Su nombre artístico fue dado por el productor musical Pacheco Enterprice, es el penúltimo de ocho hermanos. Esta criatura dio sus primeros pasos artísticos notables en su pueblo natal mediante su participación en Festivales de la Voz de Azua, Barahona y San Juan de la Maguana.
La gente comenzó a percibir su talento cuando se impuso en el primer lugar del Festival Regional del Sur, celebrado en Tamayo (Barahona), con el auspicio del Honorable Ayuntamiento de esa comunidad. La voz del artista dejó marcas en el público que asistió a la ronda final. El veredicto fue unánime.
Para 1990 Luís Miguel, forma parte de un grupo local llamado Los Auténticos del Sur y es ya para 1994 cuando se inicia en las lides bachateras con su primera producción “Entregado a ti”, la cual fue grabada para el sello Shaira Records. Para la que posteriormente también grabó “Tiempo Para Amar” y “Amor De Una Noche”, dos producciones que comenzaron a llamar la atención poderosamente sobre la nueva figura.
Fue el primer artista del género bachata que visitó Panamá en 1995, siendo responsable de la creación del gusto de esa nación por la bachata.
En 1999 grabó la producción “Luisa María” para la multinacional JM Records que preside el empresario español José Moreno, con la cual Luís Miguel logra colocarse en el gusto del público Europeo, mas tarde graba la producción “Te Echo De Menos” con la cual logra vender mas de 300 mil copias ganando Disco de Oro y Platino, con este mismo sello grabo “Amor De Locos”, “Quiero Amanecer Contigo”, “Corazón De Dinero” y “Quiero Saber”
Ha realizado presentaciones multitudinarias en: España, Suiza, Holanda, Italia, Londres, Alemania. A finales del año 2006 edita una producción discográfica con la empresa Dalcing Records titulada “Búscame”.
A mediados del 2007 graba “Mi Regreso”, para la empresa Producciones Vuelo Key que preside el empresario dominicano radicado en España, Elpidio Núñez (Epi), y de la mano del reconocido productor y arreglista dominicano “Robinsón Hernández” dicha producción discográfica contiene los temas “De Rodilla”, Se Acabó lo Bonito”,
“Abrázame”, “Aquí Estoy”, “Como Te Quise Te Olvido”, “Hoy Por Ti”, “Mujer Sin Alma” y “Mi Estrella”, entre otros
Luís Miguel Del Amargue, ha participado en diferentes conciertos populares en Europa, donde ha compartido escenarios con: Alejandro Sanz, Marck Anthony, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Wissin & Yandel, Aventura, Olga Tañon, Jorge Celedón, Rubén Blades, Mercedes Sosa, Andy Montañés, Juanés, Cheo Feliciano, Tito Nieves, Rey Ruíz, Ana Gabriel, Willie Colón, Grupo Niche, Oscar De León, Noelia, Charlie Zaa, Azúcar Moreno, Los Inquietos Del Vallenato, Ángela Carrasco y Celia Cruz, entre otros.

Ese artista cuyo nombre es sinónimo del máximo exponente dominicano en España, Tras haber desarrollado niñez y adolescencia en República Dominicana, durante las cuales manifestó una inclinación muy clara hacia la música popular, Luís Miguel viaja a España como uno de tantos que llegaron con el preciado sueño bajo el brazo y la disposición para lograrlos.
