Waldo Ariel Suero, presidente del CMD afirma el país está próximo a sufrir un rebrote de casos de COVID-19

Santo Domingo RD– El presidente del Colegio Médico Dominicano (CMD), Waldo Ariel Suero, manifestó este viernes que el país se encuentra próximo a un rebrote del COVID-19, debido al aumento considerable que han tenido los casos de contagio en las últimas semanas.

“Indiscutiblemente en estas últimas semanas ha habido un incremento sostenido de los casos de COVID-19, estamos rumbo a un nuevo brote de continuar así, incluso muchos niños también comenzaron a aparecer diagnosticados”, señaló el galeno.

 

Indicó que los aumentos de contagio entre niños y jóvenes es debido a la reapertura de las escuelas, las cuales han sido uno de los principales focos de transmisión con la docencia presencial.

 

 

Señaló que luego del levantamiento del estado de emergencia las personas han dejado de usar las mascarillas se olvidaron del distanciamiento y se han dedicado a ir de “fiesta en fiesta” sin ningún cuidado, lo que también ha contribuido con el incremento de los casos.

El galeno reveló que del aumento de los casos continuar en aumento en el país, el Gobierno se vería en la necesidad de retomar el estado de emergencia y por consiguiente el toque de queda como lo han hecho otros países.

 

“Nosotros (CMD) apostamos a que eso no suceda, que las personas se sigan vacunando y que comiencen la vacunación en niños porque están apareciendo muchos casos”, señaló Waldo Ariel Suero.

 

En ese sentido explicó que los casos de niños con COVID-19 que han aparecido de un 1 a 2 % han sido en las escuelas principalmente, lo que han producido un incremento de la pandemia.

 

Explicó que las personas que han fallecido en su gran mayoría durante los últimos meses es que no se han vacunado.

 

 

“La vacuna no le hace nada a nadie, un poco de fiebre en algunos casos, dolor de brazo sobre todo en la Pfizer que es la que más lo produce en el área inoculado, pero los dominicanos tienen que entender que deben vacunarse”, dijo el presidente del CMD.

 

 

Tarjeta de vacunación

 

El presidente del Colegio Médico Dominicano, manifestó no estar de acuerdo con la medida de solicitar la tarjeta de vacunación a las personas para poder acceder a los lugares públicos o privados, ya sean extranjeros o nativos.

 

Dijo que el hecho de que a los extranjeros no se les solicite esa tarjeta y al dominicano sí, es discriminatorio ya que ambos tienen el mismo valor.

 

Aseguró que es una medida arbitraria del Gobierno, pero la misma se hace debido a que el pueblo no colabora y no se vacuna
