Presidente Abinader recibe en su despacho al ministro de Turismo de Arabia Saudita

Santo Domingo. – El presidente Luis Abinader recibió la noche de este martes en el Palacio Nacional al ministro de Turismo y Desarrollo de Arabia Saudita, Al-Khateeb, donde trataron temas de los planes de inversión de su país en la República Dominicana y de la petición de nuestro apoyo para la Expo 2030 en Arabia Saudita.

 

En el encuentro, el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Roberto Álvarez, informó que Al-Khateeb presentó el fondo de desarrollo de Arabia Saudita, el cual tiene inversiones en aproximadamente 100 países y en más de 700 empresas en el mundo.

 

Álvarez añadió que la comitiva encabezada por el ministro Al-Khateeb pidió el apoyo de República Dominicana para la candidatura de Arabia Saudita para ser sede de la Expo 2030, la cual será elegida en Francia el año próximo.

 

Comunicó que hasta ahora hay varios países presentando candidaturas, entre ellos Rusia que ha propuesto la candidatura de Moscú, Italia la de Roma y que pueden surgir varias candidaturas más.

 

El objetivo de estas exposiciones es mostrar al mundo las virtudes de los países que sirven de anfitriones, a la vez que se celebra lo mejor de la tecnología, la innovación o el patrimonio cultural de la humanidad.

 

Acompañaron al presidente Abinader la vicepresidenta, Raquel Peña; el ministro de Hacienda Jochi Vicente y la directora de Prodominicana, Biviana Riveiro.
