Presidente Abinader recibe cartas credenciales de siete nuevos embajadores

Santo Domingo. – El presidente Luis Abinader recibió este miércoles las cartas credenciales de los nuevos embajadores de Brasil, Costa Rica, Japón, Ecuador, Marruecos, La India y Egipto.

 

El acto protocolar se efectuó en el Salón de Embajadores del Palacio Nacional, donde el jefe de Estado estuvo acompañado de la vicepresidenta de la República, Raquel Peña y del ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Roberto Álvarez.

 

El nuevo representante de la República Federativa de Brasil es el embajador Renan Leite Paes Barreto, quien se desempeñó como subjefe de la División de Exposiciones y Turismo; además, fue primer y segundo secretario de la Embajada de Brasil en Francia, como consejero de la Embajada en el Reino Unido y Cónsul General Adjunto en Nueva York.

 

La República de Costa Rica estará representada por el embajador Edwin Arias Chinchilla. Desde mayo de 2001, es embajador de carrera del Servicio Exterior de Costa Rica; fue embajador en Misión Especial para la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas (ONU), Nueva York, y director adjunto de la Política Exterior de Costa Rica.

El nuevo embajador de Japón es Takagi Masahiro, quien ingresó al Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de esa nación asiática en abril de 1981. Ha ejercido cargos de subdirector principal de la División de Prevención del Terrorismo, Departamento de Asuntos Consulares y Migratorios de la Secretaría del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, y en 2007, pasa al servicio exterior como primer secretario en la Embajada de Japón en Honduras.

 

Masahiro fue designado como Embajador Extraordinario y Plenipotenciario del Estado de Japón en República Dominicana, en septiembre de 2021.

 

 

Asimismo, por la República del Ecuador presentó sus credenciales al presidente Abinader, Santiago Martínez Espínola. En mayo de 1981, ingresó al Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de su país, fungiendo como director de Organismos Internacionales y como primer secretario en la Dirección General de Derechos Humanos y ejerció diversos cargos en la Dirección General de Europa.

 

Embajador del Reino de Marruecos

 

De su lado, El representante diplomático acreditado por el Reino de Marruecos es Hichame Dahane, desempeñándose como secretario de Asuntos Exteriores en la Dirección de las Naciones Unidas y de las Organizaciones Internacionales del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de su país; consejero político en la Embajada del Reino de Marruecos en Washington DC y jefe de división de los Asuntos de la Unión de Magreb Árabe.

Por la República de la India presentó sus cartas credenciales ante el Gobierno dominicano, Ramu Abbagani, quien es un diplomático de carrera, incorporado al Servicio Exterior de la República de la India desde 2001. Trabajó como oficial pasante en el Instituto de Servicios Exteriores (FSI), en Nueva Delhi, de 2011 a 2003; segundo secretario de la Embajada de la India en Japón, de 2003 a 2007 y subsecretario (Park-I) del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores en Nueva Delhi, de 2007 a 2010.

 

Abbagani fue designado como Embajador Extraordinario y Plenipotenciario de la Embajada de la República de la India en República Dominicana, el 11 de octubre de 2021.

 

 

Mientras que la República Árabe de Egipto estará representada por Maher El-Adawy, diplomático de carrera, incorporado al Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Egipto en el año 1985. Ha trabajado en misiones egipcias en diversas naciones, ocupando funciones diplomáticas en Alemania; Uruguay, Ghana, Yemen, Etiopía, así como asignaciones en el Instituto Alemán para el Desarrollo Internacional en la Universidad de Boston en 1992.

 

En la ceremonia de presentación de las cartas credenciales, los representantes diplomáticos fueron recibidos con los honores militares correspondientes y la banda de música del Primer Regimiento Dominicano Guardia Presidencial, interpretó los himnos de sus respectivos países.
