Santiago. – El presidente Luis Abinader presentó este lunes, desde Santiago, un informe sobre los avances que se registran en esta Ciudad Corazón desde 2020 a la fecha, abarcando las áreas de educación, transporte, salud, infraestructura, electricidad, agua, entre otros.
El mismo fue presentado al encabezar el acostumbrado encuentro con los medios LA Semanal con la Prensa desde el Gran Teatro del Cibao.
El mandatario, afirmó, que con estas obras, Santiago está cambiando.
En materia de educación, el presente gobierno ha inaugurado 11 centros educativos, que impactan a 7,530 estudiantes y que suman 237 nuevas aulas y 14 nuevas aulas de educación inicial.
Otros 119 planteles se encuentran en rehabilitación y acondicionamiento con una inversión superior a los 365 millones de pesos y se están techando 12 canchas en distintos centros.
Primera Infancia
En este aspecto, el INAIPI ha abierto siete nuevos centros desde 2020, impactando a 1,750 niños y niñas de 0 a 5 años.
ITLA
Se continúa ampliando las instalaciones del Instituto Tecnológico de Las Américas (ITLA), convirtiendo el antiguo CECARAC del IAD en un nuevo recinto de 5 mil metros cuadrados, con 12 aulas y habitaciones para estudiantes.
Las carreras a impartir son Software, Inteligencia Artificial, Ciencias de Datos, Videojuegos y Realidad Aumentada.
Empleos
Al relanzar la industria del tabaco, la región norte se convierte en líder con un crecimiento de 61.4% y el 77% de la producción a nivel nacional.
Reformas
Las reformas que se están llevando a cabo desde 2020 abarcan otras instituciones como el Ministerio de Cultura, a través del cual se realizan los reacondicionamientos del Centro Cultural Ercilia Pepín, el Monumento a los Héroes de la Restauración y la Escuela de Bellas Artes, con una inversión superior a los 161 millones de pesos.
Asimismo, se realizan los acondicionamientos del Museo Horacio Vásquez, del Hotel Mercedes próximo Museo de Arte y el Centro Histórico.
Transporte
El jefe de Estado también mencionó el transporte de la Ciudad Corazón, refiriéndose al gran proyecto del Teleférico de Santiago que movilizará 64 mil pasajeros a partir del 1º de mayo, que se dividen en 4,000 mil pasajeros por hora, en diez minutos de trayecto, recorriendo 4 km desde el sector La Yagüita del Pastor hasta la Terminal Central, con una inversión de más de RD$ 6,544 millones.
En tanto, el Monorriel de Santiago contará con 4 vagones de 145 pasajeros cada uno, para un total de 580, tendrá 14 estaciones y movilizará a 400 mil pasajeros diarios, lo que equivale a 20 mil pasajeros por hora, a lo largo de un viaducto de 13.2 km que atravesará toda la ciudad desde Cienfuegos hasta Pekín en 25 minutos.
El mandatario informó que esta obra impactará directamente a más de 500 mil personas, reducirá el gasto de transporte en un 30% y la congestión del mismo, además de aumentar la productividad y disminuir el impacto ambiental.
Electricidad
En cuanto a la electricidad, el gobernante informó sobre la reconducción de redes por parte de EDENORTE, beneficiando a más de 134 mil familias con 13 proyectos en distintos sectores de la provincia, con una inversión que supera los RD$ 977 millones.
Salud
En el ámbito de la salud, se han inaugurado 3 hospitales y se han intervenido 11, con remozamientos, ampliación de emergencias, habilitación de áreas de oncología y equipamiento, con una inversión que excede los RD$ 751 millones.
Obras infraestructuras
Asimismo, comunicó que a través del Ministerio de Obras Públicas y Comunicaciones se ha mejorado la entrada a Santiago con una extensión de ocho km y seis carriles, tres en cada sentido, con una inversión de RD$ 1,108 millones.
El mandatario enumeró ocho inauguraciones importantes en la ciudad, entre ellas, la reparación y conclusión del puente La Canela, el asfaltado de la avenida Francia, la construcción de las carreteras Juan Vera-Higo de Agua Palo Alto, La Cumbre- Hermanas Mirabal- Tamboril y El Guazumal, la construcción del puente Las Mercedes, la construcción del paso a desnivel en Av. Las Carreras esq. 30 de Marzo, la rehabilitación de la autopista Joaquín Balaguer, Santiago-Navarrete y la terminación del tramo de la Circunvalación Norte Tamboril-Cienfuegos.
Agua
En este aspecto, el gobernante señaló que INAPA en toda la provincia ha impactado 720 mil personas y se han realizado 98 obras entre agosto de 2020 a marzo de 2024.
Se han ofrecido 57 soluciones de agua potable y 41 soluciones de aguas residuales. Además 900 mil personas han sido impactadas en toda la provincia en 17 sectores.
Sistema de saneamiento Arroyo Gurabo
Sobre este tema, indicó que se han canalizado 3.67 km del Arroyo Gurabo, se han colocado 10,860 metros de tubería de aguas residuales y 10,000 metros de agua potable.
Asimismo, se han construido áreas de esparcimientos sociales y comunitarias.
Obras en ejecución
Precisó, que actualmente, el gobierno realiza la ampliación del acueducto múltiple Sabana Iglesia-Baitoa-Taveras (primera parte).
También, argumentó que se realiza el Acueducto Navarrete, la construcción de alcantarillado sanitario Licey al Medio-Las Palomas Arriba en el municipio Licey al Medio.
Asimismo, se trabaja en el mejoramiento del Acueducto de Jánico y la rehabilitación de la planta potabilizadora del Acueducto Hato del Yaque.
Deportes
En este renglón, el presidente Abinader dijo que se han invertido unos RD$195 millones y se han ejecutado 14 proyectos en distintos sectores de Santiago.
Asimismo, se terminó el Polideportivo de Tamboril, en tanto que dentro del complejo deportivo La Barranquita, fue terminado el cuartel mixto de las Fuerzas Armadas y la Policía Nacional.
Los proyectos en ejecución tienen 12 reconstrucciones de instalaciones deportivas.
Vivienda
El ministerio de la Vivienda, con el Plan mi Vivienda, ha entregado 1,682 apartamentos en Hato del Yaque, Los Salados y La Barranquita.
Con todo este proceso se han impactado 6,560 personas de manera directa.
_Plan Dominicana se Reconstruye_
En este plan se han invertido RD$339 millones y se ha impactado 2,417 viviendas.
_Vivienda Salud_
En este renglón se han invertido RD$1,601 millones.
Se construyeron 5 centros de salud y se han entregado en Navarrete, Los Guandules y Los Salados centros de diagnóstico y atención primaria.
De igual forma, en La Joya se entregó un centro de salud periférico y en San José de Las Matas, un hospital municipal.
Electricidad
En la provincia, el gobernante citó que EGEHID ha invertido RD$9,714 millones con 45 grandes proyectos de importancia económica y social.
