Las familias podrán visitar Villa Navidad desde este primero de diciembre hasta el 7 de enero_
Santo Domingo. – El Presidente Luis Abinader encendió las luces navideñas que dejan inaugurada “Villa Navidad 2023”, un espacio de recreación segura para toda la familia, decorado con miles de luces y en el cual, personajes como Santa Claus y los Reyes Magos, llevarán sonrisas a quienes visiten el lugar durante todo el mes.
El mandatario, acompañado de la primera dama Raquel Arbaje, realizó un recorrido previo junto a varios niños, por sus túneles y acogedoras y divertidas áreas.
En un esperanzador mensaje, el presidente recordó que el objetivo de estos espacios es la unión de toda la familia por lo que invita a los dominicanos y dominicanas, a asistir junto a sus hijos, padres, abuelos, tíos, vecinos y toda la gente que aman.
Además es un espacio para llevar alegría a final de año.
“Solamente con la sonrisa de un niño habremos logrado nuestro objetivo”.
Continuó expresando que “estamos juntos para enfrentar los problemas pero juntos también para disfrutar en alegría y sobretodo para cargarnos de esperanza”, y recibir un próximo año que traerá muchas cosas positivas.
Villa Navidad vuelve en los jardines del Palacio de los Deportes, en el Centro Olímpico, todos los días de la semana de 6:00 de la tarde a 10:00 de la noche, hasta el domingo 7 de enero.
Será este domingo cuando se inaugure Villa Navidad en Santiago, donde funcionará en el mismo horario.
Tras el encendido de las luces hubo una presentación musical que contó con Santa Claus, la señora Claus y los Reyes Magos, quienes juntos a los duendes y otros personajes, darán vida a este espacio que también tendrá música y presentaciones artísticas.
Llevaremos la Navidad a toda la capital
La alcaldesa Carolina Mejía resaltó que “este es uno de los más de 160 espacios que tenemos recuperados y aquí damos formalmente inicio a las celebraciones que habrá en muchos de ellos en toda la ciudad capital”
Agregó que a final de año también se celebrará una gran fiesta en el Paseo Marítimo Malecón.

De su lado, el administrador del BanReservas, Samuel Pereyra, lo describió cómo un “bellísimo espectáculo”, lleno de luces y diversión para el disfrute familiar.

Villa Navidad es un esfuerzo conjunto de la Presidencia, la Alcaldía y el apoyo de varias instituciones públicas y privadas.
También estuvieron presentes los ministros, de Deportes, Francisco Camacho; de Industria, Comercio y MiPymes, Víctor -Ito- Bisonó; el director de la Policía Nacional, Guzmán Peralta y el administrador de Edesur, Milton Morrison.
