Presidente Abinader Entrega más 150 Viviendas en Santiago e inaugura moderna planta de tratamiento de agua potable.

Santiago- El presidente Luis Abinader hizo entrega de un total de 154 apartamentos del Plan Mi Vivienda, desarrollado por el Ministerio de la Vivienda y Edificaciones (MIVED) en los sectores La Barranquita y Los Salados de este municipio.
En el caso de la Barranquita se entregaron unos 46 apartamentos para completar un total de 136 para beneficio de unas 500 familias que a partir de la fecha cuentan con un techo propio, mientras que, en Los Salados, fueron entregadas 108 apartamentos que totalizan 428, otorgados a igual numero de familias de esta comunidad.
Las entregas, que tienen gran importancia para elevar la calidad de vida de los residentes de la provincia de Santiago, fueron encabezadas por el Presidente de la República, Luis Abinader, y el Ministro de Vivienda y Edificaciones, Carlos Bonilla.
De su lado, el Ministro Bonilla expresó que solo integrando vivienda, recreación y salud se puede alcanzar un desarrollo completo de los dominicanos y de cada familia.
«Este compromiso es parte del mandato de nuestro Presidente, Luis Abinader, y seguiremos cumpliendo su promesa porque estamos absolutamente convencidos de que es posible cambiar profundamente a Santiago”, indicó Bonilla.
En el evento participó el director general de Fiduciaria Reservas, Andrés Vanderhorst, quien expresó: “A la fecha se han entregado 211,151 soluciones de viviendas de bajo costo a través de Fideicomisos. De estas, 117,260 nuevas soluciones, es decir el 56% de todas las unidades han sido entregadas en los últimos tres años, lo que demuestra el compromiso de la presente gestión del Presidente Luis Abinader con llevar soluciones habitacionales dignas a toda la geografía nacional”.

El presidente Luis Abinader dejó en funcionamiento la rehabilitada Planta de Tratamiento de Agua Potable Noriega II y otras obras para el sistema construidas por la Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santiago (Coraasan), con una inversión global ascendente a los 300 millones de pesos.
El director de Coraasan, ingeniero Andrés Burgos, manifestó que, gracias a su avanzada tecnología, esta planta aportará al sistema de distribución de agua potable de la provincia, alrededor de 23 millones de galones diarios, reduciendo el actual déficit a 7 millones de galones.
«Noriega II que tiene una capacidad de un metro cúbico por segundo, fue rehabilitada a un costo ascendente a los 237 millones de pesos e impactará positivamente a más de 250 mil personas en los municipios Licey al Medio, Puñal, Tamboril y Santiago de los Caballeros. Se trata de un sistema de gestión de acueductos que probablemente es único en el país», reveló Burgos.
«Nos sentimos agradecidos por el apoyo brindado por usted señor presidente para la ejecución de obras de gran importancia como esta y a la vez, satisfechos por el resultado obtenido de un arduo trabajo en beneficio de la gente», agregó el funcionario.

Jochy Blanco, socio de SQUARE Santiago, manifestó que el crecimiento urbanístico de la ciudad sigue prosperando y del mismo modo aumenta la contribución de la provincia al Producto Interno Bruto del país, estimado en un 14 por ciento.
