Presidente Abinader encabeza septuagésima primera graduación de Damas y Caballeros Guardiamarinas de promoción 2019-2022

Santo Domingo.- El Presidente Luis Abinader encabezó este domingo la septuagésima primera (LXXI) graduación de Damas y Caballeros Guardiamarinas correspondiente a la Promoción Clase 2019-2022 de la Armada de República Dominicana.

A su llegada, como autoridad suprema de las Fuerzas Armadas y la Policía Nacional, recibió los honores militares de estilo de 21 salvas y la entonación del Himno Nacional.

El mandatario tomó el juramento y entregó el sable de mando a los 31 nuevos oficiales subalternos graduados como licenciados en Ciencias Navales y Oficiales del Cuerpo de Comando, título reconocido por el sistema de educación superior del país a través del Ministerio de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología (MESCyT).

 

En su discurso, el capitán de navío Luis Manuel Féliz José, director de la Academia, resaltó que en sus 147 años de historia se han entregado a la sociedad 1,459 oficiales que han trascendido en diversos aspectos del ámbito nacional.

 

«El día de hoy quiero recordarles que ustedes no representan solo un número para nuestra institución sino un distinguido grupo de oficiales de marina quienes gracias a la calidad académica y educación, han sido transformados de jóvenes cargados de sueños en militares profesionales de la nación dominicana listos para trabajar con honor y sacrificio».

 

Agregó que se han graduado oficiales de naciones hermanas como Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panamá y El Salvador.

 

En el emotivo acto el ministro de Defensa, Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa, entregó el diploma que los acredita como Oficiales del Cuerpo de Comando y Licenciados en Ciencias Navales, recibido, con Distinción de Honor, por Yeury Belliard Amador.

 

Los egresados con rango de teniente de corbeta, tienen bajo su responsabilidad defender la soberanía, integridad e independencia nacional.

En el acto fueron premiados los guardiamarinas Yeury Belliard Amador, con Mayor Aplicación; Yajaira Suero García, Espíritu de Cuerpo; Yailin Noeli González Achito con Mayor Actitud Naval; Florisleidy Coca Montero con Concepto del Deber y Sofía Carolina Carreras Rodríguez con Mejor Conducta.

 

Posteriormente se procedió con las condecoraciones y entrega de obsequios internacionales a los graduandos.

 

El teniente coronel Abdiel Rosado Méndez, jefe de la Oficina de Cooperación de Seguridad de los Estados Unidos, y el capitán de corbeta Joseph Patrick Prado, agregado de la Guardia Costera de la Embajada de los Estados Unidos, entregaron a obsequios a Yeury Belliard Amador, Graduado de Honor.

 

Mientras que la embajadora de Argentina en el país, Nora Elizabeth Capello, entregó la condecoración Armada de Argentina a la Dama Guardiamarina Yailin Noeli González Achito del Servicio Aeronaval de la República de Panamá como Graduada Distinguida.

 

Asimismo el embajador de Panamá, Pablo Javier Pérez Campos entregó un regalo al graduado con Mejor Espíritu Deportivo al Caballero Guardiamarina Esmarlyn de la Cruz; el teniente coronel agregado de la defensa de la Embajada de Estados Unidos, Greg Johnson, le dio un obsequio a Wander Alexis Quevedo Lebrón con Vocación de Servicio y el comodoro nacional de los Auxiliares Navales Dominicanos, el doctor José Joaquín Puello, entregó a la Dama Guardiamarina Sofía Carolina Carreras Rodríguez graduada con Mejor Conducta.

 

Madres hacen imposición de anillos a sus hijos

 

Rosa Albania Castillo de Sosa, presidenta de la Asociación de Esposas de Oficiales de la Armada de República Dominicana, entregó el anillo de graduación a la madre del Graduado de Honor, Yeury Belliard Amador. En ese mismo orden las demás madres les impusieron a sus hijos los anillos.

 

Reconocimiento especial

 

El vicealmirante de la Armada de la República Dominicana, Francisco Antonio Sosa Castillo, dio un reconocimiento especial en vida al vicealmirante retirado Nestor Julio González Díaz de la Promoción de 1951, compañero del Coronel Francisco Alberto Caamaño y Vicealmirante Ramón Emilio Jiménez (hijo) ambos fallecidos.

 

Participaron, el ministro de Educación Superior, Franklin García Fermín; los comandantes generales de la Fuerza Aérea, mayor general técnico de aviación Carlos Febrillet Rodríguez; del Ejército, mayor general Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre, los directores, de la Policía Nacional, mayor general de brigada Eduardo Alberto Then; de la Dirección Nacional de Control de Drogas, Vicealmirante José Manuel Cabrera Ulloa.

 

Igualmente, los viceministros de Defensa para Asuntos Militares, mayor general Julio Ernesto Florián; para Asuntos Navales y Costeros, vicealmirante Ramón Gustavo Betances Hernández; para Asuntos Aéreos y Espaciales, mayor general Leonel Amílcar Muñoz Noboa; el inspector general de las Fuerzas Armadas, mayor general Miguel Rubio Báez y el director de Insude, general de Brigada Francisco A. Ovalle Pichardo, entre otros.
