Presidente Abinader Define al empresarial como uno de los motores recuperación económica.

_En el Día Nacional de la  Empresa Privada, presidente del CONEP destaca recuperación económica ha sido más rápida que la de muchos otros de la región, incluyendo el rescate de los niveles de empleos._

 

Santo Domingo. – El presidente Luis Abinader resaltó  este martes que el sector empresarial dominicano ha sido uno de los principales motores que ha influido en la recuperación de la economía presentando un crecimiento sostenido y potenciando empleos de calidad en el país.

Destacó que la gran estrategia nacional para el desarrollo que ha impulsado desde su llegada al Gobierno, ha dado lugar a una fuerte alianza público-privada que ha ido estableciendo importantes hitos en lo que respecta a la institucionalización del país, el robustecimiento económico, la recuperación del empleo y el crecimiento.

 

Abogó por seguir aunando esfuerzos en favor de las buenas prácticas, de la consolidación del excelente clima para la inversión y la creación de empresas que disfruta en la actualidad la República Dominicana.

 

El mandatario habló al participar en la celebración del Día Nacional de la Empresa Privada y el 59 aniversario del Consejo Nacional de la Empresa Privada (CONEP), donde fue recibido por el presidente del gremio, Pedro Brache y el vicepresidente, César Dargam.

 

“Como presidente de la República me comprometo a seguir trabajando para impulsar los cambios estructurales necesarios que nos permitan ser más competitivos; a abrir los espacios para generar las oportunidades que el sector empresarial necesita para seguir avanzando”, garantizó.

 

Además, resaltó la buena disposición de los empresarios dominicanos, quienes dijo, se han tomado muy en serio el apoyo a las políticas propuestas por el Gobierno en distintas materias.

 

“Esas políticas han dado paso a un clima de colaboración mutua muy positivo entre el Gobierno dominicano y el sector empresarial que en gran medida ha hecho posible la espectacular recuperación de importantes sectores productivos que son pilares fundamentales de nuestra economía”, expresó.

 

Agregó, que además, aportan al país una fuente segura de trabajo para miles de dominicanos y dominicanas que vieron mermadas sus posibilidades de desarrollo personal debido a las graves consecuencias producidas por la pandemia global del covid-19.

 

Sector empresarial dominicano a la altura de circunstancias

El gobernante indicó que a pesar de que el coronavirus arrebató la vida de miles de personas en todo el mundo y la posibilidad de una evolución natural de las previsiones económicas de entonces, el sector empresarial dominicano ha estado a la altura de las circunstancias.

 

Señaló que lo ha hecho aportando todo su potencial de generación de oportunidades para sumarse al gran momento de conseguir la recuperación total de nuestra economía y transitar confiados por la senda del crecimiento sostenido y potenciación de empleos de calidad, con sueldos dignos que den esperanza a los dominicanos y dominicanas.

 

Sostuvo que ha trabajado mucho para favorecer la diversificación de la economía, a la vez ofrecer una extraordinaria oportunidad para los negocios, ofreciendo la seguridad jurídica necesaria y una destacable estabilidad política, social y económica que permite hablar de importantes números tanto en la producción como en los niveles de exportación.

 

El jefe de Estado dijo que la Estrategia Nacional de Desarrollo (END) y la Agenda Digital 2030 promueven de manera prioritaria el desarrollo del emprendedurismo corporativo, la empresa privada y las Micro, Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas (Mipymes), por encontrarse entre estos sectores son una de las principales fuentes de generación de empleos del país y por su significativo aporte al crecimiento anual del PIB.

 

El despegue del sector Turismo ha sido exponencial, afirmó, tanto así que hemos recibido el reconocimiento de la Organización Mundial del Turismo por el buen desempeño de nuestro país en el camino hacia la recuperación de un sector tan importante para la economía como la recepción de visitantes extranjeros que vienen a disfrutar de las playas.

 

También, de la oferta cultural que ofrece la Ciudad Colonial de Santo Domingo, de la gastronomía nacional y de la alta calidad del sector servicios con el excelente trato que se brinda a los turistas en todo el territorio nacional.

 

Pero además, explicó, el sector de las zonas francas también ha alcanzado unos excelentes números, resultando que al término del año 2021, el valor de las exportaciones de zonas francas experimentó un crecimiento absoluto de US$1,316 millones, lo que representa un aumento de 22.7% con respecto al año 2020.

 

“Las exportaciones del sector ascendieron a US$7,143.3 millones durante 2021 por lo que por primera vez en la historia de las zonas francas de República Dominicana se sobrepasó el umbral de los US$7,000 millones, lo cual constituye una cifra récord en las exportaciones de este sector, que a su vez representó el 60.4% de las exportaciones totales del país”, comunicó.

 

El mandatario subrayó que existen muchos ejemplos de buena gestión en el sector privado y del impacto que sus acciones tienen sobre el crecimiento y desarrollo del país y de cómo la visión del empresariado dominicano ha ayudado a sortear los malos momentos de crisis.

 

Y agregó: Sobre todo, (que es una de las cosas que mayores esfuerzos realizamos desde el Gobierno) cómo el sector privado ha impulsado la creación de empleos en todo el país para que los dominicanos y dominicanas tengan una fuente de ingresos que les dé esa oportunidad de crecimiento para ellos y sus familias que tanto se merecen.

 

Dijo que apuesta decididamente por mantener y fortalecer la estrategia de trabajo conjunta entre el sector público y privado.

 

“Quiero felicitar a todos los empresarios y empresarias dominicanos en este día. Destacar su esfuerzo y trabajo y agradecer muy especialmente al Consejo Nacional de la Empresa Privada (CONEP) por mantener vivo este espíritu de trabajo, su visión de futuro y el compromiso con el país que ha demostrado siempre desde su fundación en el año 1963 hasta hoy”, expresó.

 

Abinader reafirmó su compromiso con el empresariado y con el pueblo dominicano para continuar avanzando en la construcción del país anhelado.

 

Recuperación económica de RD

De su lado, el presidente del CONEP, Pedro Brache, destacó que la recuperación económica de la República Dominicana ha sido más rápida que la de muchos países de la región, y esto incluye el rescate de los niveles de empleos.

 

Brache atribuye esta conquista a la unidad del sector que ha redundado en obtener una mayor fortaleza en medio de los efectos de la pandemia del Covid-19 y ahora la guerra en Europa.

 

“Este contrato social, que a veces pasa desapercibido o que damos por supuesto es, sin embargo, el gran secreto que ha permitido que nuestra recuperación económica haya sido más rápida que la de muchos países de la región, que los niveles de empleo se hayan recuperado, y que no tengamos que hablar de escasez de productos en nuestros colmados y supermercados”, afirmó.

 

Brache reconoció el valor que ha significado el hecho de que, tanto trabajadores como empresarios y sociedad civil, hayan preservado el bien común y la estabilidad económica y democrática del país.

 

Subrayó, que por cada 100 pesos que se invirtieron en la República Dominicana, en su crecimiento y desarrollo, más de 85 los aportan empresarios que creen en el país y apuestan por él y que al mismo tiempo, aportan a la economía el 75.3% de los impuestos tributarios recaudados por la DGII.

 

Posturas oportunas

En tanto, el vicepresidente del CONEP, César Dargam, sostuvo que la entidad tiene como principal fortaleza, diversidad y pluralidad, siempre con posturas oportunas, enfocadas en la prudencia y la responsabilidad.

 

“Hoy somos testigos de la consolidación de una visión país que se cimienta sobre principios sólidos del CONEP: la defensa de la democracia y sus instituciones, la libertad de empresa y la propiedad privada. Los mismos, cada vez más escasos en nuestra región”, destacó Dargam.

 

Dijo que el CONEP asume una visión renovada y orientada hacia la sostenibilidad como eje transversal de sus acciones.

 

El evento por el 59 aniversario del CONEP, celebrado en el hotel El Embajador, contó con la participación de los reconocidos speakers internacionales Ricardo Hausmann y Moisés Naim, y se reservó un espacio especial para conversar con líderes de opinión del país.

 

Hausmann, es el fundador y director del Laboratorio de Crecimiento de Harvard y profesor de Economía Política Internacional en la Escuela Kennedy de la Universidad de Harvard, uno de los centros de investigación sobre desarrollo internacional más respetados e influyentes. También es Creador y director del Atlas de la Complejidad Económica.

 

Mientras que, Moises Naín, es autor de 15 libros y uno de los columnistas más leídos en idioma español. Sus artículos semanales son publicados en un gran número de medios de diversos países. También es el presentador y productor del programa Efecto Naím. El programa ganó un premio Emmy en 2018.

 

En 2011, obtuvo el Premio Ortega y Gasset por su trayectoria periodística. Fue editor-jefe de la revista Foreign Policy durante 14 años y su libro “El Fin del Poder”, best-seller del New York Times, fue traducido a 18 idiomas y seleccionado por el Washington Post y el Financial Times como uno de los mejores libros del año. Previamente, fue Jefe Económico del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo y Ministro de Planeación de Venezuela, entre otros cargos.
