Presidente Abinader declara duelo nacional por muerte de Pedro Romero Confesor

El presidente de la República, Luis Abinader, declaró duelo nacional este miércoles por el fallecimiento del doctor Pedro Romero Confesor, quien falleció ayer en su residencia a los 90 años de edad.

La disposición la contiene el decreto 327-21.

Los restos del ex juez de la Suprema Corte de Justicia (SCJ) y ex consultor jurídico del Poder Ejecutivo, doctor Pedro Romero Confesor, están expuestos hasta las 9:00 p.m. y serán trasladados el próximo miércoles a las 8:00 a.m a la funeraria Taveras de Bonao, provincia Monseñor Nouel, su ciudad natal, donde serán expuestos hasta el próximo jueves, cuando tras realizar los honores correspondientes, a las 11:00 a.m. será sepultado en el cementerio de esa ciudad.

Le sobreviven quien fue su esposa, Altagracia, sus hijos Elizabeth, Paula, Alba, Pedro y sus siete nietos.

Por más de 52 años Romero Confesor se dedicó al ejercicio del derecho, ocupando diversas funciones públicas. Recientemente fue ingresado en un centro de salud de la capital. Su hijo, Pedro Romero Arno, expresó que su padre deja al país un legado de trabajo y dedicación a las mejores causas, trabajando con honradez y dedicación.
