El Puerto Samaná Bayport tendrá capacidad para recibir 10 mil pasajeros generar un millón de dólares_

 

Samaná.- El presidente Luis Abinader dio el primer palazo para la construcción del Samaná Bayport, una terminal de cruceros que contempla la generación de 150 empleos directos y 500 indirectos.

 

La obra tendrá una inversión privada de 22 millones millones de dólares, capacidad para recibir hasta 10 mil turistas al día y unos tres millones al año.

El Presidente resaltó lo positivo de la apuesta por la cooperación entre el sector público y el privado en la construcción de un país apegado a las políticas de crecimiento y desarrollo de nuestra industria turística, que es uno de los pilares de nuestra economía.

 

El mandatario explicó que este proyecto nace con la idea de cubrir una necesidad importante en lo que respecta al turismo de cruceros en el país y se suma a otras obras ya iniciadas en Puerto Plata y Pedernales.

«Con la construcción de este puerto turístico Samaná Bayport, la República Dominicana se pone a la vanguardia de la oferta turística y de cruceros de la zona del Caribe», expuso Abinader.

 

Anunció también que el nuevo puerto tendrá capacidad de operar tres cruceros de hasta 5,000 pasajeros de forma simultánea; con el mínimo posible de contaminación visual e impacto ambiental.

 

Agregó que esta obra cumple con una de las aspiraciones desde que llegó al Gobierno: «la de configurar una oferta turística integral que contenga tanto una oferta hotelera de calidad, con turismo de playa y otras actividades gracias a la potenciación de los polos turísticos nacionales”.

De su lado, el director de Autoridad Portuaria Dominicana (APORDOM), Jean Luis Rodríguez, destacó la importancia de esta terminal de cruceros para la península de Samaná que tendrá un impacto económico importante para la región, lo que asegura garantiza el desarrollo de los residentes en Samaná y zonas aledañas.

 

“No estamos solo construyendo un puerto, estamos construyendo oportunidades, capacidades, crecimiento; estamos construyendo un mejor futuro para esta tierra bendita”.

Asimismo, el director del Consorcio Temarsan, Federico Schad, apuntó que este nuevo proyecto, sumado a las inversiones privadas que se han venido realizando, crean la plataforma para transformar el malecón en una atractiva área comercial y fomentar el establecimiento de más restaurantes, tiendas y lugares de entretenimiento”.

 

La nueva infraestructura de cruceros contará con área comercial y de recreación, establecimientos de alimentos y bebidas, un centro de información al turista y de primeros auxilios, entre otros.

 

Remozamiento muelle público

 

De inmediato el mandatario se trasladó al muelle público, donde observó los planos para su remozamiento.

 

La obra, de igual forma, está bajo la responsabilidad de la Autoridad Portuaria Dominicana.

 

Entregan más de RD$ 2 millones a iglesias Católicas y Evangélicas.

 

De su lado, el ministro Administrativo de la Presidencia, José Ignacio Paliza, cumpliendo con promesas hechas por el Presidente en su última visita a Samaná, entregó más de dos millones de pesos a la Parroquia Santa Bárbara y a la Asociación de Pastores e Iglesias Evangélicas de Samaná.

 

A la parroquia le fueron entregados un millón 705,200 pesos para la adquisición de paneles solares y otros equipos para cubrir diversas necesidades.

 

Mientras que otros 400 mil pesos fueron entregados a la Asociación de Pastores e Iglesias Evangélicas de Samaná para la celebración del evento anual “Ciudad de Dios”.

 

“En cualquier necesidad similar que las iglesias o cualquier entidad de la sociedad civil, que trabaje con el desarrollo integral de la familia de Samaná, pueda necesitar de nostros, siéntanse en la libertad de tocar nuestras puertas”.

 

Estuvieron presente la ministra de Estado, Geanilda Vásquez; el senado Pedro Catrain; el director de la Policía Nacional, Eduardo Alberto Then; el administrador del Banco de Reservas, Samuel Pereyra y el Contralor General de la República, Catalino Correa.

 

También el Comandante General, ARD, El vicealmirante Ramón Gustavo Betances; la gobernadora Teodora Mullix; el alcalde por el municipio de Samaná, Nelson Núñez; el Comandante General, FARD, Leonel Muñoz Noboa; el presidente del Consejo de Apordom, Alejandro Campos; en representación de Samaná Bayport, Manuel Peynado, Alexander Schad y Jacinto Peynado.
