La oposición política se mostró en disposición de apoyar al Gobierno dominicano en las políticas implementadas en las provincias de las regiones este y noreste del país, luego de que estás recibieran la mayor cantidad de daños tras el paso del huracán Fiona por esas demarcaciones.
Uno de los que habló al concluir la reunión de una hora y media, fue el secretario general del Partido Reformista Social Cristiano (PRSC), Ramón Rogelio Genao, quien mostró la concordancia de su partido con las medidas adoptadas por el presidente Luis Abinader.
“Nosotros nos sumamos militantemente a ese llamado, si lo que está en juego es la calidad de vida de los dominicanos y brindarle ayuda a la población afectada, debemos todos participar. Hay unas asignaciones que el Gobierno ha estado haciendo, los ajustes en términos financieros, que se van a necesitar y en operativos directos en los territorios, no solo para dar respuesta; sino en dar respuesta rápida e inmediata”, indicó Genao.
El también senador por La Vega indicó que el Gobierno también presentó políticas futuras que ayudarán a mitigar situaciones que se produzcan, ya que hay que aceptar que el país “se encuentra en ruta crítica ciclónica”.
PLD receptivo
De parte del Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD) estuvo presente Radhamés Segura, quien señaló que el partido opositor está a favor de cualquier medida que “vaya en beneficio de los más necesitados”.
“En esos temperamentos hemos visto que el señor presidente de la República en la exposición que ha hecho, se ve que han estado una serie de medidas y el PLD se puso a la disposición del Gobierno en cuanto a que, si necesita del apoyo de técnicos o de gente experimentada dentro del partido, entonces nosotros podemos colaborar desde ese punto de vista”, añadió Segura, quien exclamó que así “como el Gobierno tiene sus iniciativas, el Gobierno es responsable de los resultados”.
En el encuentro realizado en el Salón Verde del Palacio Nacional, estuvo también Pedro Pablo Díaz, en representación de Leonel Fernández y la Fuerza del Pueblo. El dirigente político manifestó a los reporteros que el partido opositor, por igual, puso a la disposición del Poder Ejecutivo a sus técnicos.
“El presidente de nuestro partido, el compañero Leonel Fernández, ha dispuesto que todas sus fuerzas activas se pongan a disposición de las comunidades para de alguna manera socorrer y mitigar la situación en esas cuatro provincias”, señaló Díaz, secretario de Urbanismo y Vivienda de la Fuerza del Pueblo.
Los partidos expresaron que dentro de esas reuniones no se acordó ningún tipo de apoyo para aprobar iniciativas de ley que sean propuestas en el Congreso Nacional.
