Muere el destacado actor de película Ray Liotta.

La Policía Nacional Dominicana informó este jueves que el actor estadounidense Ray Liotta ya estaba muerto cuando los paramédicos del 9-1-1 llegaron al hotel donde se hospedaba en la Ciudad Colonial de Santo Domingo. Dijo que a las 5:59 de la mañana de este jueves se recibió una llamada reportando el caso.

 

Liotta, quien se encontraba en el país filmando la película “Dangers Waters”, estaba acompañado de su prometida, Jacy Nittolo.

 

“A las 5:59 a.m. el servicio de emergencias 9-1-1 recibió una llamada reportando el caso y las unidades llegaron al lugar a los 12 minutos, comprobando que la persona ya se encontraba sin vida”, dice un comunicado oficial enviado por la Policía Nacional.

Agregó que el cuerpo fue trasladado al Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Forenses (Inacif) donde se encuentran realizando todos los procedimientos de lugar.

“Cuando tengamos más detalles al respecto del deceso, se informará a los familiares y a los medios de comunicación”, agrega la nota de la institución del orden.

No presenta signos de violencia

El cadáver del actor norteamericano no presenta signos de violencia, por lo que se investiga preliminarmente como un deceso por causas naturales.

Así lo afirmó una fuente ligada a la investigación, quien aseguró que el personal que hizo el levantamiento no detectó golpes en el cuerpo ni evidencia de violencia en el lugar donde fue encontrado.

Raymond Allen Liotta, el verdadero nombre del actor fallecido, nació en Newark, Nueva Jersey (el 18 de diciembre de 1954), tenía 67 años de edad. Era del equipo de productores de la película «Aguas Peligrosas», que se filma en el país. Estaba acompañado de su prometida, Jacy Nittolo.

Ray Liotta era conocido artísticamente por su paso por la televisión y el cine que lo posicionaron en la industria del entretenimiento, candidato a los Globos de Oro, a los Premios del Sindicato de Actores y ganador del Emmy, y al mejor actor invitado en una serie dramática.
