Ministro de Interior y Policía pasa balance junto a principales actores

SAN FRANCISCO DE MACORÍS.- El ministro de Interior y Policía, Jesús Vásquez Martínez, reveló que a un mes de la implementación de la Estrategia Integral de Seguridad Ciudadana “Mi País Seguro” en este municipio, la criminalidad disminuyó un 52%, y los asaltos 72.7 %.

Dijo que fruto de las acciones adoptadas, los residentes de los sectores priorizados han podido notar la diferencia del antes y después, por lo que instó a los organismos de seguridad que trabajan en esa estrategia a ser cada día más eficientes y continuar cerca de la población con actividades que promuevan su desarrollo.

 

El funcionario elogió el esfuerzo e integración de los dirigentes comunitarios y el resto de los actores que conforman la iniciativa en los sectores Vista al Valle, Santa Ana y San Martín para que surtiera estos resultados y dispuso mayor reforzamiento en Pueblo Nuevo para obtener rápido similares logros.

 

“Para que tengan un ejemplo, en este primer mes que tenemos aquí en San Francisco, no se ha registrado ningún homicidio, igual que ocurrió cuando llegamos al sector Cristo Rey de la capital, tampoco se ha reportado ningún delito cometido con arma de fuego, solo hemos tenido un herido en hechos violentos, lo cual habla mucho de la efectividad de este plan piloto”, destacó.

 

Explicó que los asaltos descendieron de 11 a tres, para una reducción de un 72.7. Al referirse a los arrebatos de pertenencias y hurtos, Vásquez Martínez señaló que en los cuatro sectores intervenidos el control ha sido total, que de dos casos promedio diario bajaron a cero, lo mismo los robos con rotura, que bajó de uno a ninguno.

 

Resaltó que, tal como anunciara en la presentación del plan, en estos sectores fue reforzada la presencia policial con 100 nuevos agentes, dotados de chalecos antibala y con la facilidad de movimiento con diez camionetas nuevas y ocho motocicletas.

“Debemos destacar también el importante trabajo de la Digesett, que ha retenido 33 motocicletas, y con sus acciones ha evitado accidentes que provoquen muertes o lesionados. Señores, aquí en estos barrios en este mes no ha habido un muerto ni tampoco heridos a causa de accidentes de tránsito y eso hay que valorarlo”, manifestó.

 

Recordó la formación de 100 agentes auxiliares y 80 municipales, para apoyar la labor de la Policía Nacional en materia de protección a la población, nueve corredores en las periferias y ocho cuadrantes motorizados.

 

Indicó que todas las agencias del gobierno trabajan también junto a los dirigentes comunitarios y religiosos, empresarios, comerciantes, líderes y demás actores políticos y sociales del municipio, para hacer de San Francisco de Macorís una ciudad modelo en seguridad ciudadana.

 

Detalló que el programa implica un mayor acercamiento a la comunidad, con actividades educativas, culturales y deportivas y que ejecutan jornadas de limpieza y recuperación de espacios públicos que impedían el libre tránsito peatonal y vehicular en los sectores intervenidos.

 

Aseguró que junto al equipo de viceministros del Ministerio de Interior y Policía seguirán vigilantes, con presencia permanente con el proyecto piloto “Mi País Seguro”, para lograr los objetivos trazados con el apoyo del presidente Luis Abinader.
