Samaná, Las Terrenas.– En el día de hoy autoridades provinciales sostuvieron una reunión con el Director Regional de INAPA el Ing. Julio césar Lizardo, quien se hizo acompañar del encargado comercial Augusto Reyes.
En dicha reunión se estuvieron tratando diversos temas sobre la problemática del suministro del preciado líquido en esa demarcación donde explicaron que una de las mayores problemáticas es la construcción del actual acueducto el cual fue elaborado para suministrar un total de 8,000 habitantes y hoy en día el municipio ronda por encima de los 20,000 habitantes, lo que conlleva a que sea muy limitado la distribución del preciado líquido.
Una de las alternativas como solución la cual ya había sido ponderada anteriormente es crear una nueva toma de agua, proyecto el cual está siendo licitado y podría tener sus inicios en Mayo próximo con esta nueva toma habrá una gran solución ante esta problemática que enfrenta Las Terrenas.
Las autoridades hicieron un llamado de concientizacion a la población para que ahorre el agua y no la desperdicie ante esta precaria situación que se enfrenta este municipio turístico de la provincia de Samaná.
la actividad se llevó a cabo en el salón de actos Luis Emilio Vandrhorts en la alcaldía municipal donde estuvieron presentes el Alcalde Eduardo Esteban Polanco, el Senador Dr. Pedro Catrain, entre otras figuras que estuvieron presentes para buscar soluciones.
