Fuerza del Pueblo decide no hacer primarias

Luego de ser uno de solo tres partidos que se decidieron por realizar primarias con padrón cerrado, la Fuerza del Pueblo decidió que ninguno de los cargos electivos serán sometidos a ese proceso y que todas las candidaturas serán elegidas a su vez mediante encuestas y asamblea de dirigentes (convención de delegados).

«El pasado lunes 05 del presente mes de junio, la Dirección Política del partido en atención a lo que establecen los Estatutos y Normas internas, así como las Resoluciones de la Dirección Central de fecha 25 de marzo del presente año y el Congreso Nacional Extraordinario ‘Domingo Jiménez’, celebrado en fecha 27 y 28 del mismo año, asumió la decisión de no optar por el método de primarias para la selección de los candidatos y candidatas a cargo de elección popular para las próximas elecciones del año 2024″, indica una misiva enviada por el partido encabezado por el expresidente Leonel Fernández a la Junta Central Electoral (JCE).

Tanto Fuerza del Pueblo, como el Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) y Opción Democrática, tenían hasta el mediodía de este lunes para dar a conocer a la JCE cuáles cargos serían disputados en las primarias del domingo primero de octubre. El plazo anterior vencía el 30 de mayo, pero fue ampliado a solicitud de los primeros.

 

Las candidaturas que sean disputadas mediante encuestas o convenciones de delegados deben ser decidas el 29 de octubre.
