ETED instala transformador de 70 MVA para repotenciar subestación de Nagua y mejorar el suministro eléctrico en provincia María Trinidad Sánchez y Samaná

La Empresa de Transmisión Eléctrica Dominicana (ETED) instalará este sábado 30 de octubre, de manera definitiva, un transformador de 70 MVA, en sustitución de otro de 30 MVA, lo que mejorará el suministro eléctrico en las provincias María Trinidad Sánchez y Samaná.

 

Casiano Reyes Lugo, supervisor de mantenimiento de subestaciones del Sur central de ETED, explicó que dicho transformador sustituirá uno de 30 MVA en Nagua, el cual ya no estaba en capacidad de suplir la demanda de esa zona.

 

Se recuerda que, a principios del pasado mes de septiembre, ETED instaló provisionalmente una subestación móvil para cubrir la demanda de energía eléctrica de esas provincias.

 

Con este nuevo transformador de 70 MVA, la ETED está duplicando la capacidad de suministro de potencia y así garantizar abastecimiento pleno de la demanda en dichas provincias. El aparato transforma la tensión de 138 mil voltios a 69 mil voltios para la distribución y viceversa. Su vida útil es de alrededor de 40 años.

 

La instalación se llevará a cabo de 12:00 a.m. a 2:00 p.m, por lo que el servicio se interrumpirá en este lapso de tiempo en Nagua, Payita, Río San Juan, Sánchez, Samaná, Las Terrenas, El Limón.

 

Estas acciones son parte del compromiso de la empresa de garantizar un servicio de transporte de energía en alta tensión que dé respuesta a las necesidades de la ciudadanía.

 

Ante las altas temperaturas, los usuarios utilizan más aparatos para mitigar los efectos del calor, además por la instalación de nuevos proyectos de desarrollo y el crecimiento de la economía han provocado que la demanda de energía eléctrica se eleve, produciendo la sobrecarga en los equipos de transformación energética.
