El presidente Luis Abinader emitió el decreto 60-23 que instituye los Premios Anuales del Carnaval Dominicano.

El presidente Luis Abinader emitió el decreto 60-23 que instituye los Premios Anuales del Carnaval Dominicano, a través del cual se otorgarán 15 premios distribuidos en sus diferentes modalidades y categorías.

Las cuatro modalidades serán: el Premio Felipe Abreu al mérito del Carnaval Dominicano; el Premio Anual Luis Días de Música del Carnaval Dominicano, que premiará las tres mejores composiciones musicales participantes; el Premio Anual al Desfile Nacional del Carnaval, constituido de diez categorías, y el Gran Premio del Desfile Nacional de Carnaval para la comparsa con mayor calificación en todos los aspectos evaluados.

Los premios serán organizados y financiados con fondos del Ministerio de Cultura y serán convocados anualmente entre los meses de enero y febrero.
