Caficultores de Polo, Barahona reconocen al presidente Abinader por ser el primer presidente que asiste a un Festival del Café.

Mandatario deja iniciado Mercado Municipal, y Proyecto de Mejoramiento de la Ganadería (Promegan).

Barahona.- El presidente Luis Abinader continuó su amplia agenda de trabajo en esta provincia con el primer palazo para el inicio de los trabajos de construcción del mercado municipal, con un costo inicial de 187 millones de pesos.

Durante el acto el ministro de Obras Públicas, Deligne Ascención, informó que este costo inicial de la construcción del mercado ha tenido un considerable incremento con el equilibrio económico.

Destacó que en esta provincia el gobierno del presidente Abinader, a través de la institución que dirige desarrolla un plan de inversión en proyectos por un monto de 3 mil 200 millones de pesos.

Ascención precisó que esta inversión incluye 18 proyectos viales de diferente naturaleza, que van desde pequeñas obras comunitarias hasta grandes inversiones en infraestructura vial, cómo es el caso de la carretera Barahona- Enriquillo, que se encuentra en avanzado proceso de construcción.

El ministro de Obras Públicas explicó que en lo concerniente al mercado municipal, se iniciará en una primera etapa con 2 naves de las 9 que conforman el proyecto en cerca de 3 mil metros cuadrados que hay en esta área y estiman podría concluirse en unos 5 meses.

«Definitivamente podemos decir del cambio ha llegado a esta provincia de Barahona y que Barahona de la mano del presidente Luis Abinader se encamina de modo seguro y decidido hacia cambiar la vida de la gran mayoría de hombres y mujeres trabajadores que conforman esta tierra y que no habían tenido las atenciones que le ha dado el presidente Luis Abinader, por lo que podemos reiterar y decir a todo pulmón que el cambio llegó a esta provincia de Barahona», afirmó.

Impulso a la economía de la provincia

De su lado, el alcalde de Barahona, Míctor Fernández, dijo que los comerciantes han dado apoyo rotundo para que esto sea una realidad y que hoy con el primer picazo de la primera etapa de la construcción de este mercado despegará la economía de este municipio, porque se trata de una obra con impacto regional.

Quiero decirle señor presidente que cada paso que usted da positivo en beneficio de este municipio, los barahoneros se lo sabemos agradecer porque por primera vez Barahona tiene un doliente en el Palacio Nacional y los pueblos lamentablemente para desarrollarse en este país tienen que tener un doliente y el doliente de Barahona es usted señor presidente», manifestó Fernández.

Abinader deja iniciado Proyecto de Mejoramiento de la Ganadería por más de RD$700 millones

El presidente Abinader encabezó, además, en El Peñón, Barahona, el acto de lanzamiento del Proyecto de Mejoramiento de la Ganadería en la República Dominicana (PROMEGAN), el cual tiene una inversión de más de 700 millones en apoyo a los productores.

El proyecto incluye la preparación de tierra sin ningún costo para siembra de pastos, inseminación artificial para mejorar la genética bovina y la entrega de recursos para el cambio de la matriz energética a todos los centros de acopio de leche del país.

La meta del proyecto, que beneficiará a más de 10 mil productores bovinos, contempla la construcción de pozos tubulares para llevar agua a fincas de manera colectiva, impactando positivamente en el desarrollo, fomento y mejora de la rentabilidad de la ganadería dominicana.

En el acto, Eric Rivero, asesor agropecuario del Poder Ejecutivo, calificó el día como histórico para el sector ganadero de la República Dominicana donde se sientan las bases para un cambio en la ganadería por el apoyo del mandatario.

Rivero valoró que el presidente escuchó al sector ganadero el cual había sido abandonado en materia de apoyo.

«Con el lanzamiento de Promegan el presidente Abinader coloca en su justa dimensión el sector ganadero del país», expresó Rivero.

Asimismo, el director Ejecutivo del Consejo Nacional para la Reglamentación y Fomento de la Industria Lechera (CONALECHE), Miguel Laureano, destacó que más de 1,500 productores de leche tienen financiamiento y de igual forma valoró el apoyo técnico a los lecheros.

El Promegan se ejecuta con fondos asignados por la Presidencia de la República, a través del CONALECHE y la Dirección General de Ganadería (DIGEGA).

El presidente de la Federación de Ganaderos del Sur, Apolinar Suero, destacó el Fondo para Desarrollo Agropecuario, la aprobación e instalación de paneles solares, seis centros de acopio de leche de la región, el cual expresó su agradecimiento por la gran significación de este último proyecto.

Asiste a inauguración de la ampliación de agua Everest

El jefe de Estado, durante su recorrido por Barahona, asistió a la inauguración de la ampliación de la fábrica de agua Everest, la cual tiene una inversión de 200 millones de pesos y aportará 495 empleos a la zona.

El mandatario expresó que para una comunidad pueda desarrollarse sus actores deben tener fe en su porvenir y aseguró que todas las acciones del gobierno están encaminadas en un plan de desarrollo de cambiar ese círculo de sub desarrollo en uno virtuoso de desarrollo.

«Eso significa crear nuevas oportunidades como lo va a crear todo el turismo de esta zona, especialmente el proyecto de pedernales que va a ser el motor» afirmó.

En cuanto al proyecto Industrial B9, bajo la ley de incentivo fronterizo, el presidente Abinader les expresó que pueden contar con todo su apoyo y pidió llevar el proyecto a la vicepresidenta Raquel Peña, quien cordina el gabinete de inversión para hacer una mesa de aprobación la cual ayudará en el proceso.

González presentó el proyecto a desarrollar en la provincia de Bahoruco, donde construirá un parque industrial, el cual tendrá el apoyo de la senadora de la provincia de Bahoruco, Melania Salvador.

El proyecto contará con más de mil empleados y servirá para el desarrollo de la zona sur fronteriza.

Durante el acto, el propietario de agua Everest, Carlos Manuel González, expresó que con la ampliación del local tendrá más alcance y llegará a las provincias de Azua, San Juan y Bahoruco.

González agradeció al presidente Abinader por la visita a sus instalaciones y realizó una breve reseña de la compañía, la cual data de 30 años.

Entrega autobús escolar

Posteriormente, el presidente Abinader se trasladó al parque central del Distrito municipal El Cachón, dónde hizo entrega de un autobús que beneficiará a estudiantes y a los diferentes grupos sociales de la comunidad en sentido general.

De camino a encabezar varias a actividades en el municipio de Polo, provincia Barahona, el presidente Abinader fue recibido por una gran multitud.

El mandatario detuvo la caravana presidencial para saludar y conversar con los munícipes. Allí escuchó algunas necesidades de la zona y prometió que el próximo martes estarán recibiendo una ambulancia que le fue solicitada.

Además, dijo que se identificarán pequeñas obras prioritarias para también llevarles las soluciones y que la carretera Peñón-Cabral será entregada a más tardar en el mes de febrero del año próximo.

*Participa en actividades del Festival del Café en Polo, Barahona*

El mandatario encabezó, además, el acto de inicio del 15° Festival del Café “Festicafé 2022”, en el municipio de Polo Barahona, una iniciativa que busca dar a conocer el trabajo de los caficultores del Sur y promover su producción orgánica a nivel nacional e internacional.

En este acto, Abinader recibió un reconocimiento de los caficultores por ser el primer presidente en asistir al festival del café en el municipio de Polo, Barahona.

En la actividad, el ministro de Agricultura, Limber Cruz, destacó que al día se cuenta con un plan piloto integral para el desarrollo y comercio de la caficultura de la República Dominicana.

Además, el ministro expresó que tienen puntos de desarrollo en Barahona, en Azua, en Santiago y otro en las cercanías de Valverde, Mao.

El mandatario concluyó las actividades del viernes en este municipio, con su asistencia a un encuentro-cena con productores de café.

Estuvieron presentes en las actividades el viceministro de la Presidencia, Igor Rodríguez; los directores de INAPA, Wellington Arnaud y de los Comedores Económicos, Edgar Félix; del INESPRE, Iván Hernández; del FEDA, Hecmilio Galván; el administrador del Banco Agrícola, Fernando Durán.

También, la gobernadora de Barahona, Diones González; los diputados Moisés Ayala Pérez y Manuel Florián Terrero; el presidente de la Federación Dominicana de Comerciantes, Iván García; la alcaldesa de Polo, Barahona, Danilsa Cuevas; entre otros funcionarios.
