Santo Domingo, RD- El obispo de la Diócesis Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia de Higuey, Jesús Castro Marte, calificó de grosero criticar al ministro de Educación por querer dotar de Biblias a los estudiantes del sistema educativo público en el próximo año escolar.

“Sería la acción más burda criticar al ministro de Educación @RobertoFulcar por incluir la Biblia entre los libros a entregarse a los estudiantes”, escribió en su cuenta de twitter.

 

Castro Marte aseguró que “la Biblia es la expresión más sublime para fomento de la lectura”. Las declaraciones son emitidas luego de que el ministro de Educación, Roberto Furcal, anunciara que a través del programa «Dominicana Lee» se distribuirán miles de libros, entre ellos las Santas Escrituras.

 

 

En el año 2000 se aprobó una ley que obliga a leer textos bíblicos en las escuelas públicas y colegios privados al menos una vez a la semana.
