Samaná. El Ministerio de la Mujer, continuando con sus la jornadas puerta a puerta “Vivir sin violencia ES POSIBLE”, en el marco del pasado mes de noviembre y los 16 días de activismo contra la violencia, se trasladó a Samaná para visitar los hogares de esa provincia y sensibilizar sobre el problema de la violencia contra las mujeres y orientar a la población sobre los servicios de prevención y atención que ofrece el Ministerio.
En sus palabras de apertura, la ministra de la Mujer, Mayra Jiménez, expresó que en Samaná, el Ministerio de la Mujer, junto a su personal y personas voluntarias de diferentes instituciones del Estado y la sociedad civil, pretende impactar durante 2 días un aproximado de 12,530 personas, en procura de contribuir a seguir bajando las cifras de las diferentes expresiones de violencia.
Precisó, que entre los servicios que ofrece el Ministerio de la Mujer están la Línea de Emergencia *212, disponible las 24 horas del día, todos los días, la cual se amplió de 7 a 29; las Casas de Acogida pasaron de 3 en el año 2020 a 18 en el 2023, más un nuevo centro de acogida.
De su lado, Teodora Mulli, gobernadora provincial de Samaná, hizo un llamado a las familias a sumarse a estas jornadas de prevención las cuales cuentan con el respaldo del presidente Luis Abinader y con el firme compromiso del Ministerio de la Mujer, que desarrolla una gran labor de prevención y sensibilización contra la violencia de género e intrafamiliar.
De igual modo, el Alcalde Nelson Núñez del Municipio Santa Bárbara de Samaná, al hacer uso de la palabra, llamó a que desde el sistema educativo se forme durante el ciclo de educación a las y los estudiantes sobre prevención de violencia, cultura de paz y respeto. “Para erradicar hay que ir a la raíz y la raíz está en la educación. Hay que educar para erradicar la violencia contra las mujeres” enfatizó.
Entre los sectores a recorrer están el municipio cabecera de Santa Bárbara en los sectores La Batida 1 y 2, Barrio Barette, Cascabel 1 y 2, Los Cacaos, Los Gratineses y Los Yagramos, además se visitará el municipio de El Limón; y los distritos municipales Las Galeras y Arrollo Barril

Cabe resaltar, que, desde la Oficina Provincial de la Mujer en Samaná, se logró una sentencia de 30 años de cárcel y 2 millones de pesos de indemnización, se realizaron 2 capacitaciones en coordinación con el Infotep, se hicieron 28 volanteos, con los cuales se impactaron 2,989 mujeres y 2,503 hombres, se dieron 476 atenciones legales; y se asistieron de manera presencial 117 personas y por la vía telefónica 217 y se dieron 48 asistencia psicológicas en lo que va de año.
Estas acciones se han llevado a cabo gracias a la promoción de los servicios que lleva a cabo de manera permanente el Ministerio de la Mujer a través de sus oficinas en Samaná.
