Las acciones preventivas para mitigar los casos de dengue en el país se han intensificado en las últimas horas con jornadas y operativos de fumigación y descacharrización en las zonas más afectadas por la enfermedad en el país.
Autoridades del Ministerio de Salud Pública, así como ayuntamientos y personalidades políticas se han unido a la causa en distintas demarcaciones de la provincia de Samaná con operativos de fumigación y concientización para evitar la propagación del dengue.
La Directora Provincial de Salud de Samaná Dra. Ivelisse Ramón pidió a la población crear conciencia y colaborar con las disposiciones que se están recomendando, en aplicar las medidas de prevención como eliminar correctamente los desechos sólidos que puedan acumular agua.
Los desechos solidos que pueden acumular son: botellas, gomas y latas vacías, entre otras, manifestó que hay que cubrir, vaciar y limpiar cada semana los recipientes donde se almacena agua para uso doméstico y en caso de presentar algún síntoma de la enfermedad o malestar general acudir inmediatamente al centro de salud más cercano.
Además la jornada estuvo coordinada por el precandidato a senador de la provincia de Samaná, Licdo. Nelson Núñez, y el alcalde Ynocencio de Jesús.
