_Entrega dos campos de béisbol en Gurabo y La Emboscada y supervisa muro de contención de la Avenida de Las Carreras_
Santiago.-El presidente Luis Abinader junto al director del Instituto Nacional de Aguas Potables y Alcantarillados (INAPA), Wellington Arnaud, realizó una visita de supervisión a los trabajos de saneamiento de Arroyo Gurabo.
Arnaud manifestó que esta es la obra de mayor impacto social y medioambiental que está construyendo el Gobierno dominicano e impactará casi un millón de dominicanos.
«Hoy con la visita de nuestro señor presidente supervisando los trabajos que marchan viento en popa y a toda vela, se da una vez más la muestra del interés del presidente Luis Abinader de que las obras de carácter social que impactan en la mejoría de la calidad de vida de la gente sean una prioridad en su Gobierno».
Resaltó que la obra, con un costo de RD$1,500 millones representa un antes y después en la zona tras considerar que se va a convertir en un entorno donde la gente podrá venir con su familia a ejercitarse.
Indicó habrá una ciclovía, una pista de caminar, fuentes, una cancha, un anfiteatro, espacio de gimnasio y para celebrar cumpleaños y otras actividades.
El funcionario señaló que se contempla la reubicación de unas 1,500 familias en nuevos apartamentos que ya está construyendo el Ministerio de la Vivienda.
Sostuvo que tras las lluvias registradas semanas atrás los moradores del lugar le dijeron que si no se hubieran iniciados los trabajos de descarga hacia el Yaque del Norte, se hubiese producido una catástrofe.
«Para nosotros es un gran honor y un privilegio ser parte de esta historia, de poder contribuir con mejorar la calidad de vida de nuestra gente la provincia de Santiago, porque te va a impactar no solo al municipio, sino a toda la provincia y también las provincias de la línea porque todas las aguas van hacia allá», expresó.
La obra será inaugurada en varias etapas, la primera sería entregada el 30 de marzo de 2023, mientras que la inauguración final de la obra será a finales del mismo año.
Al hablar brevemente en el acto, el mandatario calificó la obra como una de las más importantes del país, conjuntamente con las cañadas que se realizan en los diferentes puntos del territorio nacional a través del INAPA y en el Gran Santo Domingo por la CAASD.
“Por ejemplo, la cañada de Guajimia, es también de un impacto enorme en Santo Domingo Oeste y parte del río Haina. Estamos haciendo casi 50 km de saneamiento de cañadas en todo el país”, expresó el presidente Abinader.
Agregó que la cañada de Gurabo es la que impacta fuertemente una comunidad urbana, a diferencia de las otras. Dijo que por tal razón están apoyando la obra que será de beneficio para la zona.
Supervisa muro de contención de la Avenida de Las Carreras
El mandatario junto al ministro de Obras Públicas, Deligne Ascensión, también supervisó los trabajos de reconstrucción del muro de contención de la Avenida Las Carreras.
En el informe de situación de la obra, el ingeniero Manuel Genao indicó que los trabajos avanzan para ser entregados en la primera semana de mayo de 2023.
«Aquí lo que estamos tratando es una solución que afecte lo menos posible a las edificaciones existentes, estamos haciendo prácticamente un muro frente a lo que estaba existente», explicó.
Sostuvo que las familias que fueron evacuadas de los edificios puedan volver a sus casas y negocios antes de Navidad.
Inauguración dos nuevos plays
El jefe de Estado inauguró de manera simultánea el Play Chaguito Olivo, que pertenece al Club Atlético Mambuiche en Gurabo; y el play de La Emboscada, dos obras que continuarán fortaleciendo el sano desarrollo de los jóvenes de estas comunidades.
Ambas fueron terminadas por el Fondo Patrimonial de las Empresas Reformadas, Fonper, por un monto superior a los 49 millones de pesos para la construcción de los campos, luminarias, bancas, baños, muro de gaviones, entre otras.
El presidente de la entidad, José Florentino, indicó que estas fueron recibidas con un 45% de avance y concluidas en la presente gestión.
El Play de Mambuiche impactará a unas 170 mil personas que residen en Gurabo, mientras el Play La Emboscada también beneficiará a esta comunidad y otras aledañas.
De su lado, el presidente del Club Mambuiche, Melvin Rodríguez, agradeció al mandatario porque “con estos espacios deportivos el gobierno contribuye para tener una juventud sana y alejada de los vicios que es hoy una de nuestras mayores preocupaciones como institución al servicio de la comunidad”.
De igual forma, el vicepresidente del club La Emboscada, Marcos Antonio de Jesús, manifestó en nombre de los habitantes de esa demarcación, la alegría de ver esta obra culminada.
Estuvieron presentes, el senador Eduardo Estrella y la gobernadora por Santiago, Rosa Santos.
