Presidente Abinader proyecta zonas francas superarán los USD8,000 millones en exportación y resalta crecimiento de más de un 10%.

_Asociación de Zonas Francas de Las Américas reconoce al presidente Abinader por su invaluable trabajo, compromiso y dedicación con las zonas francas de República Dominicana._

 

Punta Cana. – El presidente Luis Abinader resaltó hoy que en lo que va del año 2022, las Zonas Francas de la República Dominicana rompieron récords de exportación con un crecimiento de más de un 10% y con proyecciones de superar los 8,000 millones de dólares.

Al participar en la XXV Conferencia Zonas Francas de Iberoamérica, el mandatario afirmó que el país sigue creciendo y convirtiéndose en un referente mundial en diversos sectores económicos relacionados a las Zonas Francas.

 

Durante el acto, la Asociación de Zonas Francas de Las Américas (AZFA), entregó un reconocimiento al presidente Luis Abinader y al ministro de Industria Comercio y Mipymes, Víctor -Ito-Bisonó por su invaluable trabajo, compromiso y dedicación con las zonas francas de República Dominicana.

 

«Son ejemplo de compromiso firme por nuestro régimen. Lo que hacen porque por República Dominicana, lo están haciendo por toda la región», dijo el presidente de AZFA, Gustavo González De Vega, al hacer entrega de la placa de reconocimiento.

Mientras que en su discurso, el presidente Abinader afirmó que estos no son simples palabras, porque el pasado año 2021 las Zonas Francas del país rompieron récords de exportación superando por primera vez los 7,000 millones de dólares.

 

«Como si fuera poco, en lo que va del año 2022, hemos superado estas asombrosas cifras y hemos crecido más de un 10% y con proyecciones de superar los 8,000 millones de dólares», destacó Abinader.

 

El jefe de Estado manifestó que este crecimiento exponencial también se ha reflejado en el aumento de oportunidades, pues a la fecha, las zonas francas dominicanas le proveen al país cerca de 200,000 empleos directos, e impacta de forma indirecta a más de 500,000 familias.

 

«Y como si esto fuera poco, mientras antes teníamos menos de un 10% de puestos de trabajo técnicos, hoy día nuestras zonas francas reflejan más de un 30% de puestos técnicos. No son solo más trabajos, son mejores trabajos, en áreas relacionadas a dispositivos médicos, dispositivos electrónicos, tecnología, servicio, y muchas otras más», resaltó.

 

Abinader, resaltó, además, que la República Dominicana este año va a romper récord en inversión extranjera, llegando alrededor 4,000 millones de dólares.

 

El gobernante sostuvo que estas cifras, para un país de 10 millones de habitantes, demuestran que la grandeza descansa en el esfuerzo y dedicación de una sociedad, y no en su tamaño físico y que el sector zonas francas ha jugado un rol determinante y se ha constituido en un pilar esencial en el crecimiento económico y social del país.

 

El presidente Abinader consideró que Iberoamérica se ha constituido como un pilar y un ejemplo hacia el resto del mundo a lo largo de los años, y agregó que la esencia y naturaleza de la Asociación de Zonas Francas de Las Américas (AZFA), es promover y defender la integración y cooperación entre todos los países de Iberoamérica y el mundo, a lo que con mucho entusiasmo e ímpetu, se suma la República Dominicana.

 

«La promoción de las zonas francas en todo el hemisferio, su integración y unidad, y el trabajo mancomunado de los sectores públicos y privados, es la clave para sobrepasar todos los estragos económicos que ha causado la pandemia del COVID-19 y los conflictos bélicos», expresó.

 

Más aun, expuso, juntos se pueden lograr grandes cosas y este éxito que como país podemos exhibir es el mismo que añoro para nuestra región. Nuestras puertas están abiertas, y nuestras manos están ávidas para ayudar de cualquier forma y en cualquier momento, para construir una región que se conozca en el mundo entero como una región que produce calidad, y que está llena de gente dispuesta a trabajar para alcanzarlo.

En tanto, el presidente de la Asociación de Zonas Francas de las Américas (AZFA), Gustavo González De Vega, aseguró que el mejor incentivo que los gobiernos pueden ofrecer a las Zonas Francas, es la garantía de seguridad jurídica.

 

«Gracias señor presidente porque este es un gran ejemplo de compromiso firme de un gobierno que ha apoyado en la actividad público y privada, defiende su régimen, lo defiende aquí en primera fila y los defiende en todos sus discursos» manifestó González De Vega.

 

De su lado, el presidente de la Organización Mundial de Zonas Francas, Mohammed Alzarooni, agradeció a los organizadores de importante evento por la hospitalidad y la generosidad que han demostrado y dijo que no se hubiera imaginado lograr esta conferencia en un lugar más hermoso que Punta Cana.

 

Estuvieron presentes en el evento los ministros, de Industria, Comercio y Mipymes Víctor Bisonó; de la Presidencia, Joel Santos; el presidente de la Asociación Dominicana de Zonas Francas, (ADOZONA), Luis José Bonilla; la presidenta electa de AZFA, Claudia Pellerano; el director ejecutivo del Consejo Nacional de Zonas Francas de Exportación (CNZFE), Daniel Liranzo y el director de Proindustria, Ulises Rodríguez.
