Presidente Abinader llega a la ONU; participa en apertura del debate general

New York.-El presidente Luis Abinader inició su agenda de este martes participando en la apertura de la 78 Asamblea General de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU), cuyas palabras de bienvenida estuvieron a cargo del secretario general de la ONU, Antonio Guterres.

Acto seguido tomó la palabra el Presidente de la Asamblea General, Dennis Francis, mientras que los primeros presidentes en agotar sus turnos son los de Brasil, Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva, y de los Estados Unidos, Joe Biden.

El discurso del presidente dominicano está programado para las 3:00 de la tarde de este miércoles.

Al mandatario lo acompañan el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Roberto Álvarez y el embajador dominicano ante las Naciones Unidas, José Blanco, el director de Estrategia y Comunicacion Homero Figueroa, su asistente personal Lourdes Herrera y el director del CUSEP y de su seguridad personal, general (ERD) Jimmy Arias Grullón.

A su salida del salón de la Asamblea General, el presidente Abinader sostendrá una reunión bilateral con el jefe de Gobierno del Principado de Andorra, Xavier Espot Zamora.

A las 12:20 se reunirá con Robert D. Manfred Jr., Comisionado de Major League Baseball (MLB) y más tarde tendrá otra reunión bilateral con William Ruto, presidente de la República de Kenia.

De igual modo, el presidente Abinader asistirá al evento del Centro Adam Smith para la Libertad Económica de la Universidad Internacional de Florida y a la recepción ofrecida por el presidente de Estados Unidos, Joe Biden.
