Elías Piña.- El presidente Luis Abinader dejó inaugurada este sábado la Escuela Básica Juan Pablo Duarte y un Centro de Atención Integral a la Primera Infancia (CAIPI) con una inversión aproximada a los RD$140 millones en el municipio de Hondo Valle de esta provincia.
La Escuela Básica Juan Pablo Duarte, fue construida con una inversión de RD$82,892,546.39, mientras el Centro de Atención Integral a la Primera Infancia (CAIPI), a un costo de RD$56,879,340.37.
Al pronunciar unas breves palabras, el viceministro de Supervisión y Control de la Calidad Educativa, Oscar Amargos, en representación del ministro de Educación, Ángel Hernández, manifestó el impulso del Gobierno en las políticas públicas en apoyo a la educación.
«Señor presidente su presencia aquí es una muestra de que para usted al igual que las demás regiones, provincias, municipios y pequeñas comunidades de todo el territorio nacional, el Sur profundo existe y es una muestra más de su interés por dignificar y ampliar las oportunidades para que todos los niños, niñas y adolescentes alcancen sus sueños de lograr una educación de calidad que siembre en ellos los cimientos para iniciar su trayectoria educativa que los convertirá en ciudadanos y ciudadanas listos para engrandecer nuestra patria».
El nuevo centro educativo, con capacidad para 245 estudiantes dispone de 7 aulas, canchas deportivas, áreas cívicas, gradas, parqueos, área administrativa, salón de profesores, cocina, comedor, laboratorios de informática y ciencia, áreas verdes, cisterna, depósitos, baños, salón multiuso y verja perimetral, entre otras áreas.
De su parte el director del centro, Víctor Zarzuela Bidó, agradeció al presidente Abinader el arduo trabajo realizado para que la entrega de la escuela sea hoy una realidad.
En nombre de los estudiantes del recién centro inaugurado, habló la estudiante meritoria de 4 grado de educación básica, Fabiola Pérez.

En tanto que el CAIPI Hondo Valle albergará a unos 250 niños de 0 a cinco años y cuenta con 10 áreas para atenderlos.
Su inauguración forma parte del plan de ampliación de servicios para integrar una importante cantidad de infantes y familias a este modelo de atención que ofrece estimulación temprana y educación inicial; salud y nutrición; atención a las necesidades educativas especiales y condición de discapacidad; protección contra la violencia y registro de nacimiento,
Los componentes también incluyen acompañamiento y atención en hogares; fortalecimiento de las buenas prácticas de crianza; acompañamiento de padrinos y madrinas a familias con niños y niñas de 0 a 1 año y gestantes de alto riesgo, así como articulación en red para garantia de servicios públicos.
A los servicios del nuevo CAIPI se suman otros 368 infantes y sus familias que reciben atenciones a través de la Red CAFI que integra este centro, para beneficiar de forma directa a un total de 618 niños y niñas.
Los beneficiados residen en la zona urbana de este municipio de Hondo Valle, así como en La Colonia, Los Majaos, Centro del Pueblo, Los Maestros, Guachupita, El Cruce, Lincoln y 30 de Mayo.

Más temprano, el gobernante sostuvo un encuentro con 250 productores y comunitarios del municipio en el que escuchó sus inquietudes para buscar soluciones.
En nombre de los presentes, hablaron, por los comunitarios, Mario Antonio Amador; por la mujer rural, Maritza Montero y por los caficultores, José Manuel Peguero.
Con los productores agropecuarios, el mandatario conversó sobre turismo, comercio, producción agrícola y construcción de invernaderos y lo que significa el desarrollo de Pedernales para toda la región Sur.
También habló sobre replicar el Plan San Juan en esta provincia para dar continuidad a todas las áreas que se pueden mejorar y les manifestó que sus demandas tendrán respuesta según el orden de prioridad.
El presidente Abinader manifestó buscar las soluciones a las inquietudes presentadas como son la terminación de la carretera Hondo Valle- Elías Piña olvidada por los gobiernos durante años, brigadas forestales para cuidar de las montañas, caminos vecinales, la terminación del liceo, la construcción de un politécnico agropecuario, entre otras demandas.
Acompañaron al presidente Luis Abinader, los ministros de Agricultura, Limber Cruz; de la PROPEEP, Roberto Ángel Salcedo; la gobernadora de Elías Piña, Milly Martínez; el viceministro de Gestión Social y Comunitaria de la Presidencia Juan Garrigó; el alcalde del municipio, Nildo César de los Santos Solis, entre otros.
