*Santo Domingo -.* El presidente Luis Abinader encabezó este domingo el lanzamiento de Navidad del Cambio 2023, con el que se ofrecerán unas 10 millones de raciones de almuerzos y cenas navideñas, a través de los 106 comedores económicos.
Además continuó la entrega de apartamentos que permiten cada vez más que las familias dominicanas adquieran su techo propio.
El programa Navidad del Cambio fue lanzado desde las 5 esquinas del populoso sector San Carlos en el Distrito Nacional.
Allí, el presidente Abinader felicitó a los Comedores Económicos por su eficiente labor y expresó solidaridad con la comunidad de San Carlos.
“Decirles a todos los comunitarios de San Carlos, estamos con ustedes hoy, mañana y siempre en todo lo que podamos ayudarles”.
El jefe de Estado reafirmó el compromiso del gobierno con el servicio social, honestidad y transparencia en favor de los más necesitados del país.
“Por lo tanto confíen en nosotros, en el trabajo que estamos haciendo, vamos a seguir siendo firmes con ustedes porque tenemos ese compromiso de servicio social, ese compromiso de trabajar con honestidad y transparencia con los más pobres de nuestro país”.
El director general de los Comedores Económicos, Edgar Feliz, destacó el apoyo e interés del presidente Luis Abinader de mejorar la calidad de vida de los dominicanos y dominicanas, que por tercer año consecutivo podrán disfrutar de almuerzos y cenas navideñas con un rico menú tradicional de la época.
Las 10 millones de raciones serán distribuidas a través de los 106 Comedores Económicos y por las cocinas móviles, que estarán brindando servicio en los diferentes sectores donde serán apostadas.

Posteriormente el presidente Abinader se dirigió a San Luis, municipio de Santo Domingo Este, donde encabezó la entrega de 400 nuevos apartamentos que cuentan además con áreas verdes, deportivas y de recreación para el disfrute de toda la familia.
A su llegada el mandatario vistió el área de juegos donde los niños se divertían junto a sus padres.
El ministro de Vivienda y Edificaciones, Carlos Bonilla, manifestó que con este acto se superan las 6,000 viviendas entregadas a nivel nacional con el plan Mi Vivienda.
“Una cifra histórica que ningún otro gobierno había alcanzado. Esto demuestra que nosotros cumplimos nuestra palabra y que ustedes siempre van a contar con nosotros”.
Agregó que seguirán trabajando para mejorar la calidad de vida de todos los dominicanos y que no tengan que pagar alquiler.
Específicamente en Mi Vivienda San Luis ya se han entregado 1,700 apartamentos en 2023, para un 70% de la totalidad de este proyecto , con una inversión superior a los RD$7,172 millones.
Este plan cuenta con tres fases denominadas San Luis I, San Luis II y San Luis III, en las que se construirán 2,008 apartamentos de 3 habitaciones y 452 unidades de 2 habitaciones.
El proyecto ha creado más de 5,400 empleos directos e indirectos.
