Para Najayo Jean Alain y otros por caso Medusa

La jueza Kenya Romero dispuso prisión preventiva por 18 meses para cumplirse en Najayo contra Jean Alain Rodríguez, Joel Rodríguez Imbert y Javier Alejandro Forteza.

 

Arrestro domiciliario para Ramón Mercedes, Altagracia Gullén y Jenny Marte.

 

Mientras que Miguel José Moya presentación periódica e impedimento de salida. Así como una fianza de un millón de pesos en modalidad de contrato.

 

La noche del lunes 28 de junio un total de 38 allanamientos simultáneos en Santo Domingo, Jarabacoa, La Vega y La Romana pusieron en marcha a la “Operación Medusa”, un caso de persecución contra la corrupción administrativa que involucra a 18 personas vinculadas a la Procuraduría General de la República.

 

 

Dentro de los encartados Jean Alain Rodríguez, extitular de la institución, es señalado como el principal acusado de estafar al Estado dominicano durante la pasada gestión gubernamental de Danilo Medina.

 

De los múltiples allanamientos a propiedades de los imputados, se conoce que fueron al menos cinco de los acusados. A pesar de la extensa pesquisa que realizaron los fiscales en el apartamento del exprocurador, no lo encontraron en casa.

 

Un día después el Ministerio Público informó sobre el arresto, por corrupción y otros delitos, de Miguel José de Moya, exasesor de la PGR durante la gestión de Jean Alain y quien admitió que le pagaron la suma de 19.5 millones de pesos para impartir unos cursos que nunca se dieron.

 

También fue arrestado Rafael Antonio Mercedes Marte, quien se desempeñó como encargado del Departamento de Contabilidad de la PGR.

 

Entre los otros apresados producto de los allanamientos figuran Altagracia Guillén Calzado, quien se desempeñó como subdirectora administrativa de la PGR, y Javier Alejandro Forteza Ibarra, quien ocupó la posición de director de Tecnología de la Información de la institución.

 

Otros implicados en el caso son Alfredo Alexander Solano Augusto, exdirector financiero y encargado de proyectos de la entidad; Jonnathan Josel Rodríguez Imbert, quien fue director administrativo y Jenny Marte Peña, quien era encargada de proyectos.

 

 

Dentro de las acusaciones que pesan en contra del grupo se encuentran corrupción, asociación de malhechores, lavado de activos, estafa contra el Estado, soborno, coalición de funcionarios, falsedad de documentos públicos, robo de identidad y delitos electrónicos.

 

El Ministerio Público pidió 18 meses de prisión preventiva en contra de los imputados y que el caso fuera declarado como complejo.

El pasado lunes, luego de un polémico debate acerca del acceso de la prensa a la sala de audiencias, la magistrada Kenya Romero accedió a que entraran los miembros de la prensa escrita “sin cámaras ni celulares”.

 

La decisión fue tomada tras un pedimento hecho por la defensa del ex procurador. Los periodistas pudieron ingresar cuando le tocó el turno de declarar a Jean Alain, cuya defensa fue la última en presentarse.
