Ministro Jesús Vásquez y Pedro Martínez: “Llegó el momento de rescatar otra vez los valores del barrio”

Masivo lanzamiento del programa “De Vuelta al Barrio” en La Romana junto al maestro José Antonio Molina, comunicadores y una decena de deportistas.

La Romana – “Yo no vuelvo al barrio, yo me quedé en el barrio, yo soy el barrio”. La frase de Pedro Martínez sacó aplausos entre los cientos de asistentes al Liceo Politécnico Luis Heriberto Payan de Villa Hermosa. El recinto de La Romana fue el elegido por el Ministerio de Interior y Policía para lanzar su programa “De Vuelta al Barrio”, con el que el ministro Jesús Vásquez congregó a destacados exdeportistas dominicanos, como el mismo Martínez, exaltado en el Salón de la Fama de Cooperstown, además de Edwin Encarnación, Jumbo Díaz, Tito Horford, el “Grillo” Vargas, “Abejón” Fortuna, entre otros. Todos presentados por Franklin Mirabal, otra celebridad que se puso a disposición de la iniciativa del MIP.

La ceremonia fue bendecida por el Obispo de la Diócesis Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia, Jesús Castro Marte, quien agradeció a Chú por poner al ciudadano en primer lugar, “porque el rostro humano es algo palpitante”. Tras él, otro punto alto de la mañana en La Romana fue la presentación del maestro José Antonio Molina, quien sumó la música como otra de las alternativas para combatir la delincuencia de los barrios. “La música transforma. Junto al deporte, transforma y enriquece las vidas para siempre. Con la presencia continua y firme de la música y el deporte en barrios tendremos una mejor sociedad y un mejor país”, dijo el destacado director de orquesta ante los asistentes que se dieron cita con largas filas desde las 6 de la mañana para asistir a la jornada completa de salud, planes sociales, clínicas deportivas y actividades culturales que se extendió hasta pasadas las 5 de la tarde.

 

En el Politécnico de La Romana, como parte de la actividad, también se podían realizar variados trámites y consultas en cerca de una veintena de servicios públicos que ofrecieron los diferentes ministerios que participaron en el evento. Entre los tantos representantes de éstos estuvo Francisco Camacho, ministro del Deporte, quien valoró la iniciativa de poner todos los ministerios a disposición de la comunidad, “Una combinación como ésta de ‘De Vuelta al Barrio’, de salud, educación, deporte, cultura y vigilancia, no puede fallar”, dijo el titular de Deporte, quien además aprovechó de anunciar los “Juegos Barriales” en toda la República Dominicana como otra de las iniciativas del gobierno de Luis Abinader.

 

Por su parte, la gobernadora de La Romana, Jaqueline Fernández, mostró  entusiasmo por ser su provincia, la primera escogida para el desarrollo de esta actividad, que afirmó tiene un impacto extraordinario en la vida de cientos de chicos de escasos recursos económicos que podrán visualizar las oportunidades que los impulsarán a salir adelante.  A su vez, Roberto Ángel Salcedo, Director General de Proyectos Estratégicos y Especiales (PROPEEP), valoró la vida del barrio y a los que “naciendo en el barrio lograron sortear de manera exitosa todos los obstáculos. Porque es bueno nacer en el barrio, pero mas interesante es vencer obstáculos y sobreponerse a ellos”.

 

Quien también animó a los presentes fue el comunicador Michael Miguel, que sacó aplausos con su alocución frente a diversas autoridades cívicas y militares, comunitarios y comunitarias, y la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional. “Hay un individualismo enfermo que lo quiere todo para él, y esa visión no es correcta. La visión correcta es vivir en comunidad. Tiene que ser feliz toda la comunidad. Vamos a volver al barrio a construir una República Dominicana mejor”, dijo Miguel antes de recibir la primera ovación de la mañana. La última fue para el ministro Jesús Vásquez Martínez, quien cerró los discursos agradeciendo a todos los involucrados en las charlas, cursos y clínicas deportivas que se darán de hoy en más en La Romana. “Llegó el momento de rescatar otra vez los valores del bario”, dijo, enfundándose luego en un abrazo con Pedro Martínez y todas las luminarias que lo acompañaban en la tarima.

 

El  objetivo principal de “De Vuelta al Barrio” es crear círculos de conversaciones con líderes e influenciadores para establecer actitudes de cambio en los jóvenes de espacios marginados, y así reducir la brecha de los “ni-nis”, como son  denominados  los que  no estudian ni trabajan,  comprendidos en edades entre los 15 a 24 años. 

 

La iniciativa cuenta con el apoyo de los ministerios de Juventud, Salud Publica, Medio Ambiente, Obras Publicas y Comunicaciones, Trabajo, Doreccion de Proyectos Estratégicos y Especiales (Propeep), Supérate, Servicio Nacional de Salud, Banreservas, Instituto Tecnológico de las Américas (Itla), Instituto Nacional de Educación Física (Inefi), Instituto de Estabilización de Precios (Inespre).

 

También el  Instituto Nacional de Atención Integral a la Primera Infancia (Inaipi), Programa de Medicamentos Esenciales y Central de Apoyo Logístico (Promese cal), Consejo Nacional de Promoción y Apoyo a la Micro, Pequeña y Mediana Empresa (Promipyme),  de la Persona Envejeciente, de Discpacidad, Comedores Económicos, Junta Central Electoral , Administradora de Subsidios Sociales (Adees), Policía Nacional, y Comunitaria, Dirección Nacional de Control de Drogas (DNCD), y la de las Escuelas Vocacionales de las Fuerzas Armadas.
