Mérido Torres, pedirá licencia de su cargo como director de titulaciónn

Santo Domingo- El director de la Unidad Técnica Ejecutora de Titulación de Terrenos del Estado, Mérido Torres, dijo que pedirá una licencia de su cargo al presidente Luis Abinader, tras ser señalado en el expediente de la Operación Calamar.

El documento de solicitud de medida de coerción del caso sometido por la Procuraduría Especializada de Persecución de la Corrupción Administrativa (Pepca) hace una narración de hechos en la que asegura que Mérido Torres habría recibido una determinada cantidad de dinero, aunque en agosto del año pasado el funcionario explicó que no había recibido dinero del Estado dominicano, sino el pago de sus “honorarios profesionales que le hicieron unos clientes por un proceso que llevó su oficina privada de abogados”.
Posteriormente la directora de Ética e Integridad Gubernamental, Milagros Ortiz Bosch, recomendó este jueves al director de la Unidad Técnica Ejecutora de Titulación de Terrenos del Estado (UTECT), Mérido Torres, tomar una licencia en su cargo tras su mención en el supuesto caso de corrupción Operación Calamar.

Ante estos señalamientos, el dirigente político leyó este martes 4 de abril una declaración pública en la que denunció una supuesta campaña difamatoria en su contra que viene desde dentro de su partido y desde fuera, presuntamente motivada por el repunte de su precandidatura para la alcaldía de Santo Domingo Este.

Posteriormente la directora de Ética e Integridad Gubernamental, Milagros Ortiz Bosch, recomendó este jueves al director de la Unidad Técnica Ejecutora de Titulación de Terrenos del Estado (UTECT), Mérido Torres, tomar una licencia en su cargo tras su mención en el supuesto caso de corrupción Operación Calamar.

Ante estos señalamientos, el dirigente político leyó este martes 4 de abril una declaración pública en la que denunció una supuesta campaña difamatoria en su contra que viene desde dentro de su partido y desde fuera, presuntamente motivada por el repunte de su precandidatura para la alcaldía de Santo Domingo Este.

“En toda mi vida siempre he actuado de cara al sol, como profesional del derecho y como servidor público, por lo que hoy anuncio que voy a proceder a solicitar al señor presidente de la República, Luis Abinader Corona, una licencia de nuestro cargo como director ejecutivo de la Unidad Técnica Ejecutora de Titulación de Terrenos del Estado, a los fines de demostrar que soy inocente ante esos señalamientos difamatorios e injuriosos”, sostuvo.

Dijo que de ahora en adelante se dedicará a limpiar su nombre y el de su familia y a trabajar en su proyecto político.

Torres informó que también solicitó una cita a Milagros Ortiz Bosch, directora general de Ética e Integridad Gubernamental, y a la Procuradora General de la República, Magistrada Mirian Germán Brito, a quienes les comunicó su disposición de ser investigado sobre los casos mencionados.
