Las Reinas del Caribe vencen a Japón y avanzan a cuartos de final

Mejoraron su récord a 2-3, ganando dos seguidos

Vencieron a las locales 3-1 con scores 25-10, 25-23, 19-25 y 25-19

 

Las Reinas del Caribe consiguieron su segundo triunfo del torneo de voleibol femenino de los Juegos Olímpicos al derrotar 3-1 a las locales de Japón, en un partido que se jugó en el Ariake Arena, de la ciudad de Tokio.

 

Los sets terminaron 25-10, 25-23, 19-25 y 25-19 a favor de las quisqueyanas, que con el triunfo mejoraron su récord de los Juegos a 2-3 y lograron avanzar a los cuartos de final del torneo olímpico.

 

Es el segundo triunfo consecutivo para las Reinas del Caribe, que vencieron 3-0 a Kenia durante el fin de semana. Previamente habían sucumbido ante Serbia, Brasil y Corea del Sur.

Prisilla Rivera encabezó el ataque de las Reinas del Caribe, con 17 puntos. Jineiry Martínez agregó 16 y Bethania de la Cruz marcó 14 para la victoria dominicana.
