Las Águilas vencen 11 por 3 al Escogido y extienden su invicto a 4-0.

Santo Domingo– El derecho Wendolyn Bautista lanzó de manera magistral por más de cinco entradas y Orlando Calixte conectó jonrón y doble para encabezar la paliza que las Águilas Cibaeñas le propinaron a domicilio a los Leones del Escogido 11 por 3, en su primera visita al estadio Quisqueya del joven Campeonato de Béisbol Invernal 2021-2022, dedicado a Kalil Haché Inmemorian.

 

 

Los campeones nacionales y del del Caribe extendieron su invicto a 4-0, gracias al ataque de 14 indiscutibles y al excelente trabajo monticular de Bautista, quien rescató con dos outs en el segundo acto al abridor Yoanner Negrín. Finalizó su magnífica labor con 5.1 de entradas sin carrera, dos hits y 4 ponches para acreditarse la victoria.

 

La victoria fue para Bautista (1-0) y la derrota recayó en Denyi Reyes (1-1).

 

Calixte pegó jonrón solitario por el prado izquierdo en el cuarto y luego impulsó dos con doble en el octavo.

 

 

Las primeras tres carreras de las Águilas las anotaron en el segundo ante el abridor Denyi Reyes cuando John Nogowski recibió base en bolas y anotó por triple al prado derecho de Eric Filia, Deivy Grullón siguió con doble impulsador al jardín izquierdo y, luego de dos outs, Luis Valenzuela se embasó por error en tiro del torpedero que permitió que anotara desde tercera Grullón para el 3-0.

 

Los Leones igualaron el juego en el cierre del segundo contra el abridor Yoanner Negrín y luego de dos outs, combinando indiscutible de Engel Beltre por el jardín izquierdo, doble al prado derecho de Eddys Leonard. Beltré anotó por lanzamiento desviado del lanzador Negrín y Leonard pasó a tercera desde donde también anotó por otro pitcheo desviado. Charlie Valerio recibió base en bolas y alcanzó la tercera por error en tiro del receptor Grullón, desde donde anotó por doble de Joey Rickard al jardín derecho, el juego igualado 3-3.

 

 

En el tercero, los campeones tomaron nueva vez la ventaja con su cuarta vuelta cuando Calixte, bateando en lugar de Allen Córdoba, conectó jonrón por el prado derecho.

 

Las Águilas fabricaron otra más en el cuarto cuando Alcántara conectó doble al jardín izquierdo, Morel se embasó por error del torpedero Eduardo Marte y Alcántara llegó a tercera desde donde anotó impulsado por Valenzuela quien forzó con rodado en segunda, colocando la pizarra 5 por 3.

 

En el sexto, los aguiluchos agregaron tres vueltas más ante el relevista José Manuel Fernández, combinando sencillos de Christopher Morel y Valenzuela, quienes anotaron por triple al central de Leody Taveras. Torres impulsó la tercera de la entrada con largo batazo de sacrificio al prado central.

 

 

Los campeones continuaron su despiadado ataque en el octavo agregando tres más mediante sencillo de Valenzuela, pero fue forzado en segunda por rodado de Tavares, indiscutible de Torres y doble impulsador de dos por parte de Calixte, quien a su vez entró al plato con sencillo de Nogowski.
