IMPORTANTES UNIVERSIDADES DE JAPÓN INTERESADAS EN COLABORAR CON RD.

Vice Presidenta Raquel Peña, sostiene encuentro Con Ejecutivos De Centros Educación Superior.

Tokio, Japón.-Las principales universidades japonesas se mostraron dispuestas a colaborar con la República Dominicana en materia de educación superior, según lo manifestaron en un encuentro con la vicepresidenta dominicana Raquel Peña.

Con ese propósito los representantes de las altas casas de estudios que participaron en el encuentro, firmaron un documento de intención para futuros acuerdos con universidades dominicanas y con el mismo gobierno.

Durante el encuentro y el posterior firma del comunicado de intención, se contemplan, además de la educación superior áreas como tecnología, ciencias modernas,mecatrònica, y robótica.

El interés de las universidades japonesas iría más allá de las simples becas, abarcarían también investigaciones conjuntas, intercambio de experiencia en la creación de bienes públicos y globales.

En la reunión con la vicepresidenta dominicana participaron representantes de Tokyo University of Science, Soka University, Kanda University of International Studies, Nanzan University, Sophia University, Meiji University, Oita University, The Jikei University School of Medicine. En el encuentro estuvo también presente el Japan International Cooperative Agency, mejor conocido como JICA, el cual ha colaborado con República en muchos proyectos de diversas hay y por largos años.

Además de la vicepresidenta Peña, estuvieron presentes en el encuentro, los ministros Ito Bisonò y Pável Isa; éste último hizo una importante exposición sobre el comportamiento positivo de la economía dominicana en los últimos años, a pesar de los efectos negativos del COVID-19, y otros factores a nivel mundial.

No obstante dijo que el país caribeño está consciente de que tanto el aprendizaje como el escalamiento tecnológico son claves para lograr el desarrollo productivo en general y transformaciones productivas en la agricultura, la industria y los servicios que impulsen mayores niveles de productividad, y competitividad en los mercados internacionales.

Estuvieron también el embajador y el cónsul dominicano radicados en Japón Robert Takata, y Richard Collie, respectivamente. Así como el embajador en misión especial, Miguel Nuñez.

La Vice presidenta Peña, así como la delegación que le acompaña se encuentran en Japón desde el pasado viernes agotando una agenda que incluye encuentros con empresarios, funcionarios y políticos japoneses, entre ellos, el alcalde de Aikawa, Yutaka Onozawa, lugar donde vive la mayor cantidad de dominicanos, con quienes también se reunió la vicepresidenta.

Además, se ha reunido con el gobernador del Banco Japonés de Cooperación Internacional (JBIC), Tadashi Maeda; con el presidente de Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings (TEPCO); con el presidente de la Cámara de Reprentantes, Hosoda Hiroyuki; y con el ministro de Estado señor Shunsuke Takei.

Para este martes, la vicepresidenta Peña agotará su agenda en Japón con un desayuno con la Federación Empresarial de aquí, luego asiste a un almuerzo ofrecido por parlamentarios japoneses, para de ahí ir a una reunión programada con el presidente de la JICA, señor Akihiko Tanaka.

Finalmente, la segunda mandataria de la nación se trasladará a la Casa de Gobierno, donde sostendrá una reunión con el primer ministro Fumio Kishida.

Al concluir en Japón, la vicepresidenta dominicana, viaja el miércoles a Seoul, Corea, donde agotará una agenda de tres dias.
