Gobierno dice a médicos que las puertas del Palacio Nacional están abiertas.

Santo Domingo.- El Gobierno informó este miércoles que las puertas del Palacio Nacional están abiertas al Colegio Médico Dominicano (CMD), por lo que entienden que ese gremio no necesita marchar para continuar el diálogo con las autoridades actuales.

 

Esa información fue dada a conocer a través de un comunicado por el vocero y director de Estrategia y Comunicación de la Presidencia, Homero Figueroa.

 

En el comunicado, las autoridades explican que la capacidad para dialogar es la característica principal de esta administración y que lo hacen con todos los sectores, «pero lo hemos hecho todavía más con los representantes del sector salud».

 

«El acceso de los representantes del Colegio Médico Dominicano al Palacio Nacional ha sido permanente. Precisamente ayer martes 26 de julio fue la más reciente reunión entre Senén Caba, presidente del CMD, Daniel Rivera, ministro de Salud Pública, Mario Lama, director ejecutivo del Servicio Nacional de Salud y, Raquel Peña, vicepresidenta de la República», explica el documento.

 

Precisa que en esa reunión se acordó trabajar en las demandas, «porque el Gobierno está de acuerdo en los temas; y también, recibirlos nuevamente hoy para continuar la conversación».

 

En la información, el Gobierno ratificó que no hay contradicción entre lo que piden los médicos y lo que las autoridades están dispuestas a otorgar.

 

«Las puertas del Palacio Nacional han estado abiertas durante estos dos años y seguirán abiertas. El Colegio Médico Dominicano no necesita marchar para continuar el diálogo con las autoridades actuales», reza la información.

 

Sostienen que la actual administración asumió en medio de una pandemia y que desde el primer día la prioridad fue garantizar la salud del pueblo dominicano.

 

Asimismo, que la única manera de lograrlo era apoyando con recursos, gestión y atención al sector salud. «Lo hicimos; y así salimos victoriosos de la mayor crisis de salud de nuestra historia».
