ADQUIERE LAS ACCIONES POR UN MONTO DE US$88.1 MILLONES

Santo Domingo, RD- El Estado dominicano adquirió nuevamente el 49% de las acciones que la empresa venezolana PDV Caribe tenía en la Refinería Dominicana de Petróleo (Refidomsa), informó la tarde de este jueves el ministro de Hacienda, Jochi Vicente.

La transacción fue por un monto de 88,1 millones de dólares y con esta operación el Gobierno dominicano pasa nuevamente a tener el control absoluto de la refinería.

 

“Esta transacción se realizó en coordinación tanto con el Gobierno de Venezuela, con Patsa (la empresa filial del grupo Rizek) y también se tuvo comunicaciones con el Gobierno de Estados Unidos, específicamente con Oficina de Control de Activos Extranjeros, para garantizar que República Dominicana no estuviera violando ninguna de las condiciones de las sanciones que tiene puestas el Gobierno norteamericano al venezolano”, detalló Vicente.

Destacó que el Gobierno dominicano recibió la “no objeción” por parte del estadounidense.

“Con esa transacción el estado dominicano pasa a controlar nuevamente el 100% del capital suscrito de refinería y pasa a tener el control absoluto de esa tan importante empresa dentro de lo que son los activos del Estado”, manifestó el ministro.

 

Vicente indicó que en el 2010 el Estado dominicano vendió a la empresa Venezolana PDV Caribe, S.A. el 49% del capital accionario de la Refidomsa por US$135,107 millones.

 

El ministro explicó que esta transacción tiene muchos beneficios, pero en el corto plazo no tendrá ningún impacto en el precio de los combustibles.

 

“La transacción se ejecu­tó en dos partes. La primera PDVESA vendió las accio­nes a PATZA y la segunda parte, PATZA vendió sus ac­ciones por el mismo precio al gobierno dominicano”, aclaró el funcionario.

 

Vicente informó a través de una rueda de prensa, que las transacciones ocu­rrieron de manera simultá­nea ayer.

 

“Esta transacción no tie­ne ningún impacto sobre la determinación de los pre­cios de los combustibles, pues se fijan de acuerdo a una ley”, destacó.

 

Sin embargo, manifestó que el hecho de tener un ju­gador tan importante como es Refinería dentro del sec­tor, dependiendo de ciertos proyectos y que se aceleran con esta transacción, en es­ta misma medida podrían tener impacto positivo de los combustibles a nivel in­terno.

 

Dijo que esta transacción potabiliza y permite que la Refinería proceda a ejecutar sus planes de expansión.

 

 

Entretanto, el 10 de mar­zo de este año, Refidomsa destacó que avanzaba en la construcción de un nue­vo oleoducto que conecta­rá con el muelle de Haina, con el objetivo de continuar el suministro confiable de combustibles al mercado nacional. El proyecto, que estaría concluido en unas 18 semanas, contempla el reemplazo de dos tuberías de 12 y 6 pulgadas por otras de 12 y 8 pulgadas, explicó en una nota de prensa.
