Dominicanos despiden en grande a don Johnny Ventura.

Cientos de personas salieron a las calles en la barriada de Villa Juana la tarde de este sábado para dar el último adiós al merenguero Johnny Ventura, durante un recorrido con sus restos por el sector que lo vio nacer.

Desde techos de viviendas, balcones y apostados en las aceras de las calles de Villa Juana, residentes en la zona decían adiós al carro fúnebre que trasladaba el cadáver, muchos de ellos con flores en las manos y carteles con diversos mensajes alusivos a la figura del extinto Caballo Mayor.

 

A lo largo del recorrido se conjugaron la música de Johnny Ventura y las expresiones de dolor de los presentes, quienes siguieron el vehículo fúnebre.

En Villa Juana recuerdan parte de lo que fue la vida del Caballo Mayor en ese lugar, donde vivió gran parte de su existencia y han pedido incluso que la calle Moca, una de las principales del sector, le sea colocado su nombre.

Más temprano en el Palacio de los Deportes, colegas de la música le hicieron homenaje al Caballo Mayor, cantando varios de sus éxitos, también recibió la guardia de honor del presidente de la República, Luis Abinader y de la primera dama Raquel Arbaje, como también de personalidad de los medios comunicación.

Destacar la presencia de varios medios internacionales entre ellos CNN, Telemundo, Agencias de comunicación, entre otros.
