SANTO DOMINGO. El ministro de Obras Públicas y Comunicaciones, MOPC, Deligne Ascención, entregó este martes, a la Comisión Militar y Policial, COMIPOL, las primeras 20 camionetas patrulleras, de un grupo de 50 que será asignadas para reforzar la seguridad en las carreteras y el servicio de Asistencia Vial, mediante el cual se asiste diariamente a más de mil conductores en las principales vías de la República Dominicana.
Al mismo tiempo, el ministro Deligne Ascención entregó al director de la Comipol, general de brigada, Rafael Vásquez Espínola, ERD, ropas, zapatos y botas, entre otros avituallamientos para ser repartidos entre los soldados que componen el organismo militar de Seguridad y Asistencia Vial del MOPC.
En un acto celebrado en las instalaciones del Comipol, el Ascención dijo: “Con la entrega de todo lo entregado es para respaldar, apoyar y relanzar uno de los servicios que se desarrolla a través del MOPC, que tiene una comunicación directa con el ciudadano, sino que impacta con diferentes acciones que se realizan a través de la COMIPOL con la ciudadanía”.
De igual forma, dijo que, con esta unidad, no solo apoya en la soberanía del país, sino también, con asistir a los ciudadanos ante eventos naturales, por lo que resaltó que además de auxiliar en las autopistas, también complementa con diferentes servicios de gestión social; como fumigación, desinfección, operativos médico-odontológicos, que llegan a las clases menos favorecidas.
Además, expresó que la ciudadanía cuida y valora este servicio, el cual, ha sido mejorado y ampliado, que se lanzará para seguir beneficiando a ciudadanos nacionales y extranjeros en lugares donde el servicio aún no había llegado.
Agradeció el desempeño realizado por el director de la COMIPOL, general de brigada Rafael Vásquez Espínola, ERD., siendo extendido a todo el personal civil y militar que ha logrado que este programa se mantenga y sea ampliando a otras provincias, impactando a más dominicanos, en especial, en estas fechas festivas, donde las carreteras y autopistas son más concurridas.
Los vehículos entregados hoy pasarán a formar parte del reforzamiento en las vías troncales, para optimizar el servicio que cada día presta la Comipol en las carreteras y autopistas del país, y las mismos estarán totalmente equipados, para brindar un servicio de calidad a los conductores que se desplazan por esas vías.
En la actividad, también fueron entregadas 50 armas de electrochoque, 50 motosierras, 50 centellas, 70 drums de seguridad, 40 cajas de herramientas, 1,000 mochilas del MOPC, 50 banderas institucionales, 250 banderas nacionales, entre otras cosas por un valor de RD$115 millones.
En tanto, el director de la Comisión Militar y Policial, general de brigada Rafael Vásquez Espínola, agradeció ministro de Obras Públicas, ingeniero Deligne Ascención, por los equipos entregados y agregó que los mismos llegan para reforzar las áreas de mayor vulnerabilidad y que serán colocadas en los sitios y zonas más estratégicas.
“Los soldados están preparados para asistir ante cualquier circunstancia, fruto de un esfuerzo conjunto de esta institución de servicio, mediante una capacitación frecuente, con la elaboración de los manuales de funciones, perfiles de cargos y procedimientos, para establecer lo que cada quien debe hacer, y con el esfuerzo de todos, tener como norte la acreditación internacional con la ISO9001”., indicó el director de la COMIPOL.
De igual forma, resaltó las distintas reestructuraciones que se están operando en las diferentes áreas de la sede de la Comisión Militar, sumado al reforzamiento que se hará en las distintas zonas especialmente en las más vulnerables.
Con relación a la expansión del programa de Protección y Asistencia Vial, dijo que se ampliará a la carretera ecoturística de Santiago a Puerto Plata, San José de Ocoa, Valverde, Hato Mayor y que próximamente llegará a Montecristi, Dajabón, Pedernales y Elías Piña.
Vásquez Espínola también agradeció al ministro de Defensa, teniente general Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa, por el apoyo que brinda a esta entidad, y resaltó el acuerdo suscrito entre el MOPC y el Mide, para suministrar los uniformes y otros avituallamientos necesarios, a través de la industria militar, para los miembros de la Comipol.
