Delegación de Qatar inicia agenda de trabajo en RD

Santo Domingo.- La vicepresidenta de la República, Raquel Peña, compartió una cena de bienvenida en el Palacio Nacional con el ministro de Estado para los Asuntos Exteriores de Qatar, Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, junto a la delegación que le acompaña, quienes se encuentran en el país para desarrollar una agenda de trabajo enfocada en la inversión y cooperación entre ambas naciones.

En el encuentro se dio a conocer el panorama general en términos económicos e inversiones de República Dominicana, así como la agenda que será desarrollada por la delegación hasta el próximo viernes 28.

 

Acompañaron a la vicemandataria, Roberto Álvarez, ministro de Relaciones Exteriores; Víctor (Ito) Bisonó, ministro de Industria, Comercio y Mipymes; Daniel Rivera, ministro de Salud Pública; Santiago Hazim, director del Seguro Nacional de Salud (Senasa) y Georges Bahsa, embajador de la República Dominicana en Qatar.

La delegación de Qatar tiene previsto sostener encuentros con el presidente Abinader, la vicepresidenta Peña, ministros y otros funcionarios.

 

Asimismo, realizarán una visita para conocer más detalles del máster plan de desarrollo turístico Proyecto Cabo Rojo-Pedernales, así como otras atractivas oportunidades de inversión.

 

Finalmente, participarán en la presentación de los avances y posibles acuerdos en materia de cooperación e inversión que surjan durante el transcurso de la agenda de esta semana.

 

Esta misión oficial está conformada, además, por Issa bin Mohammed Al Mannai, director de Asuntos Americanos; Yaser Awad Al-Abdulla, encargado de Negocios Interino de la Embajada del Estado de Qatar en Santo Domingo; Salman Nabet Al Khulaifi, presidente del Departamento de Suramérica y el Caribe en el Ministerio de Exteriores. A su vez, están acompañados de importantes autoridades, asesores, representantes e inversionistas.
