Decomisan contrabando de mercancías valoradas en más de 22 millones de pesos en aeropuerto de Punta Cana

La Dirección General de Aduanas (DGA) anunció este jueves el decomiso de un cargamento millonario de dispositivos electrónicos, que pretendían ingresar de forma irregular al país por el Aeropuerto Internacional de Punta Cana.

A través de una nota de prensa, indican que el alijo de 14 sacos provenía de la ciudad de Miami, Florida, bajo una liquidación de impuestos que indicaba que el envío contenía ropa, zapatos, exhibidores, maniquíes, entre otras prendas de vestir, tenía teléfonos celulares, tabletas, iPads y otros dispositivos electrónicos con un valor que asciende los 22 millones de pesos.

 

Los oficiales de la DGA detuvieron para fines de investigación al conductor del camión, donde fue encontrado el cargamento en las instalaciones del aeropuerto, así como también a dos supuestos empleados de la compañía importadora que le acompañaba. Los sospechosos, cuyos nombres se omiten para fines de investigación, fueron remitidos a la justicia, a solicitud del Ministerio Público.

En los últimos meses, la Dirección General de Aduanas ha detectado e impedido varios intentos de contrabando de mercancías ilícitas.
