Artistas podrán registrar desde este lunes todas sus obras gratis en la ONDA.
Cientos de artistas intérpretes y ejecutantes, así como arreglistas podrán registrar a partir del lunes, y durante todo el mes de julio de 2023, todas sus obras libres de costo en la Oficina Nacional de Derechos de Autor (ONDA). El anuncio fue hecho este jueves durante una rueda de prensa encabezada por el director general de este organismo, José Ruben Gonel Cosme y el músico Ramón Orlando, Sociedad Dominicana de Artistas Intérpretes y Músicos (SODAIE).
A partir del próximo lunes 3 de julio, las personas interesadas pueden acudir a las oficinas de la ONDA en horario habitual, de lunes a viernes de 8:00 am 4:00 pm, para registrar sus obras o su participación en las mismas. Deberán traer sus documentos de identificación y acreditar las piezas musicales u otras manifestaciones artísticas en las que hayan participado.
El director de ONDA, Gonell Cosme, y el presidente de SODAIE, maestro Ramón Orlando Valoy, encabezaron el evento donde se presentaron los detalles del período de gracia. Hicieron hincapié en el interés mutuo de ambas partes en alentar a los creadores a registrar sus obras para garantizar sus derechos morales y económicos.
El director general de ONDA, expresó que ha sido interés de su gestión animar a los artistas, escritores y autores en general, y en esta ocasión a los intérpretes, músicos y arreglistas, a que registren sus obras para que puedan beneficiarse de la explotación de sus creaciones en el mercado nacional y mundial.
Agregó que ONDA ha observado que un número importante de nuestros autores y creativos no reciben los beneficios de sus obras porque no han sido formalizadas, comenzando por el proceso de registro que se debe hacer en ese organismo estatal, responsable de administrar y tutelar el derecho de autor en el país.
Gonell Cosme afirmó que «esta gracia que estamos otorgando va en línea con los deseos del presidente de la República, Luis Abinader, quien se ha comprometido a que autores de todos los campos creativos registren sus obras para proteger sus derechos morales y económicos».
