Armada Dominicana rescata mujer del océano Atlántico en Las Galeras tras embarcación ilegal haber naufragado.

LAS GALERAS.- Organismos de socorro rescataron a una mujer que se desplazaba por el océano Atlántico a bordo de una embarcación, la cual naufragó en la playa Caletica, en Las Galeras, Samaná.

Se trata de Rafaela Medina, de 50 años de edad, residente en La Lometa, quien según informaciones tenía la intención de viajar de manera irregular a la vecina isla de Puerto Rico.

Los datos recolectados apuntan a que los demás tripulantes que se encontraban a bordo se lanzaron y lograron salir nadando dejando a Medina a la intemperie.

En el lugar estuvieron presentes, brindando asistencia, la Armada de República Dominicana, la Dirección Central de Policía de Turismo (Politur), Defensa Civil, Cuerpo de Bomberos, Policía Nacional, el Sistema Nacional de Atención a Emergencias y Seguridad (9-1-1), entre otras autoridades.
