La detención se llevó a cabo en el sector Villas Agrícolas, Distrito Nacional, donde fueron capturados dos presuntos delincuentes, entre ellos un menor de edad, identificado como Joan David Medrano (alias «El Varón» y/o «Moreno Espejo»), de 45 años.
Las autoridades señalan que Medrano, conocido por múltiples robos de espejos retrovisores, fue apresado en medio de una persecución en respuesta a una orden judicial de arresto emitida anteriormente.
