Accidente en la Avenida España en la Capital deja seis niños y dos adultos heridos.

Ocho personas, entre ellas seis niños, resultaron heridas la tarde de este viernes en un accidente ocurrido en la avenida España, próximo a la base naval de la Armada.

Según testigos, la conductora del vehículo Hyundai Sonata perdió el control en una de las pronunciadas curvas y fue a parar al carril contrario, impactando de frente con una camioneta de la compañía Claro.

Los heridos fueron trasladados inmediatamente al hospital traumatológico Dario Contreras, con heridas en diversas partes del cuerpo, pero se encuentran estables.

Al lugar llegaron inmediatamente miembros de la Armada, agentes de la Digeset, de la Policía Nacional, así como personal del Sistema Nacional de Emergencias 9-1-1, quienes informaron que en el vehículo siniestrado se desplazaban dos adultos y ocho menores de edad, quienes acababan de salir del parque acuático Agua Splash.

Según reportes, la conductora, cuya identidad no fue dada a conocer, reside en el extranjero y habría venido de vacaciones con la familia.

El accidente provocó un gran taponamiento en el lugar donde decenas de curiosos y voluntarios ayudaron en la asistencia a los heridos.
