El Tribunal de Atención Permanente de Puerto Plata impuso una garantía económica y presentación periódica contra Carlos Ciprián de la Cruz y Ramón Ciprián de la Cruz, acusados de ser los responsables de organizar un viaje ilegal desde una embarcación en la que naufragaron doce personas intentando llegar a Puerto Rico el pasado 10 de enero.

El tribunal le impuso una garantía economía de 50 mil pesos a cada uno como medida de coerción. La instancia tomó en cuenta los presupuestos presentados por los abogados de los imputados para tomar la decisión.

Tres de los tripulantes del viaje que salió desde el municipio de Sánchez, en la provincia de Samaná, están desaparecidos.

Los otros 9 fueron rescatados con vida tras permanecer casi dos semanas en alta mar cerca de la costa de Puerto Plata.

Los imputados fueron apresados por miembros de la Armada Dominicana cuando estos realizaban el operativo de rescate de los náufragos de la yola.

Ambos encartados son señalados por Aurelio Radner, José Miguel Rojas, José Luis Reyes Veras, Julio César Olivo Capellán, Vicente Martínez, Elizabet de la Cruz de los Santos y Jean Thomas Brito Castro por presuntamente organizar el viaje ilegal y capitanear la yola que zozobró, un viaje por el que, cabe señalar, los denunciantes pagaron miles de pesos.
